DANCING WITH THE STARS
Comments

Hey, I just saw the commercial. This is starting on March 17, just a couple of weeks away. It looks like a good line up of stars.
ADAM CAROLLA & JULIANNE HOUGH - Comedian and radio host, Adam Carolla, (host of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Adam Carolla Show) teams with reigning two-time defending Dancing with the Stars champion, Julianne Hough. Julianne returns for her third season.
CRISTIÁN DE LA FUENTE & CHERYL BURKE - International film star, Cristián de la Fuente (Family Law, CSI: Miami), teams up with two-time champ, Cheryl Burke. Cheryl returns for her fifth season.
SHANNON ELIZABETH & DEREK HOUGH - Film and television star, Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie, Scary Movie, That 70s Show) is paired with Derek Hough who returns for his second season. Derek is the older brother of Julianne Hough and was paired with Jennie Garth last season.
STEVE GUTTENBERG & ANNA TREBUNSKAYA - Movie star, Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy, Three Men And A Baby, Short Circuit and Cocoon), teams with Anna Trebunskaya who returns for her third season. Anna is married to professional dancer Jonathan Roberts, who also returns for another season.
PENN JILLETTE & KYM JOHNSON - Magician, Penn Jillette, one-half of the famous illusionist team Penn & Teller, teams with Kym Johnson who returns for her fourth season. Kym was runner-up alongside partner, Joey Fatone in season four.
MARIO & KARINA SMIRNOFF - R&B star, Mario, teams with Karina Smirnoff who returns for her fourth season. Karina was runner-up alongside partner Mario Lopez during the third season of Dancing with the Stars.
MARLEE MATLIN & FABIAN SANCHEZ - Academy Award winning actress, Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God) teams up with newcomer Fabian Sanchez. Fabian is the 2006 World Mambo Champion, a four-time Fred Astaire National Champion and the United States Rising Star, and the 1999 American Rhythm Champion.
PRISCILLA PRESLEY & LOUIS VAN AMSTEL - Actor and businesswoman, Priscilla Presley (Naked Gun, Dallas) is paired with Louis van Amstel who returns for his fourth season. Louis was most recently paired with Monique Coleman.
MONICA SELES & JONATHAN ROBERTS - Grand Slam tennis champion, Monica Seles, teams up with Jonathan Roberts who returns for his fifth season. Jonathan finished in third place last season alongside partner Marie Osmond.
JASON TAYLOR & EDYTA SLIWINSKA - NFL Man of the Year, Jason Taylor, teams with Edyta Sliwinska. Edyta is the only pro to compete in all six seasons of Dancing with the Stars.
MARISSA JARET WINOKUR & TONY DOVOLANI - Tony Award winning Broadway star, Marissa Jaret Winokur, best known for creating the role of "Tracy Turnblad" in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray, teams with Tony Dovolani who returns for his fifth season. Tony was previously paired with Jane Seymour.
KRISTI YAMAGUCHI & MARK BALLAS - Olympic champion figure skater, Kristi Yamaguchi, teams up with Mark Ballas who returns for his second season. Mark was previously paired with Sabrina Bryan. -
Thanks for putting this up here. I am a huge ice skating fan, so, sight unseen, I am rooting for Kristi Yamaguchi. I may change my mind after I see the dancing.

I love DWTS!
What are your thoughts on the pros and celebrities?
To me, Priscilla looks like she has had so many plastic surgeries and she doesn't seem to "look" like either she has aged beautifully or gracefully anymore.
I am not a fan of Karina Smirnoff ... she seem witchy to me.
I feel sorry for Edyta ... she doesn't seem to have what it takes to win. She has a beautiful body but strange outfits ... revealing but strange sometimes.
-
I love this pic of her with her hubby...
-
Don't Edyta and her hubby do a commercial for a jewelry store ("He went to Jared's")? I know she is in the ad and I am pretty sure he is, too.
-
Don't forget this starts next week on 3/17.
-
Okay, tonight is the night! Woohoo....I'm watching 3 reality shows right now. This will be the fourth and its hard to decide when some come on at the same time. But this sounds like its going to be a really good season.
-
I'll be there. I am already rooting for Kristie, we'll see how they do.
-
You know, I just found tonight's show with the guys terribly boring. I didn't even watch all of the show. I hope the ladies do better tomorrow. Penn Gillette was horrible.
-
DWTS was not all that great tonight i agree! I love the show, i hope the ladies tomorrow night are better. I can't wait to see how Priscilla does. She looks awful and her hair looks stringy! I am rooting for Marissa.

Yea, it wasn't that good tonight
The men are just a little boring. I hope the ladies do better tomorrow.
-
I didn't think Penn was that bad, but maybe I have no taste
. I feel for both Cheryl and Julieanne - if their partners continue as bad as they are, they will be out in a couple of weeks. Well, at least they will get a rest. Overall, the level of dancing is way below last season so far, I guess last season they got lucky with talented people. Tonight should be way more interesting.
-
Gale -- I was a little surprised at how Priscella looked too. I hope they do something with her hair. I thought the NFL linebacker was pretty good.
-
Girls:
I couldn't agree more with you all - on the quality of the mens' dancing (except the last one) and how plastic and unhappy Priscella Presley looked!! It almost looked like she didn't want to be there!! Maybe tonight things will be better.
-
Alright girls who watched DWTS tonight? I was surprised how well Priscilla did. Most of them i thought did pretty well exceptMonica and Shannon. But then this is the first week and some can really improve really fast. I thought Penn wasn't too bad either, he did better than i thought he would.

I missed this tonight. Too many of my favorite reality shows on at the same time now. I ended up watching Big Brother but will watch the DWTS online tomorrow at lunch. I also missed American Idol but that's starting to get boring for me now that the final 12 have been selected.
-
My favs were Kristi and, surprisingly, Priscilla. Priscilla had some very limber moves. Kristi was just plain elegant.
I missed the guys so I'm waiting to see who is a fav there. How did Steve Gutenberg do? For some reason he just reminds me of a goofy kid brother.
-
I agree, txgrl01, Kristi was my favorite and Priscilla did well. I didn't think Shannon was that bad, but Monica was the only one out of all the dancers (including the men) that I would say was actually bad. But then I remember Grand Master P and I think totally differently.
Steve Gutenberg charmed the judges - they said he did so-so, but they really liked him. The fav in the guys is Mario (another Mario!!). He was really great, but then what do you expect from a 21 year old?
-
Marele Maitlin was great! I also liked Pricilla and of course, Kristi.
