My name is Carl Piaf and I'm researching for a film role as the husband of a breast cancer patient. I wondered if there were any men out there that would be willing to share their experiences with me so that I can more adequately represent the difficult emotions involved. I'd also be interested in communicating with lesbian partners and with patients themselves, particularly regarding post-operative concerns and problems of intimacy. I'll be reading the posts that have already been made on these subjects but feel free to repeat any information so I can get a better insight.

Please feel free to email me directly at carlpiaf@hotmail.com if you prefer.

    Kindest regards,

    Carl

Hi, I am very literate and an old hand at this.  If you want, my husband will "tap the keys" for you and help all he can.  From what I saw on the other end, it was harder on him than it was on me.

Lot's of anguish with any cancer diagnosis, but he was so strong and good with me.  I don't know what your script will be, but we do get all kinds of husbands.  From anger at the wife, to panic, to the guy who went upstairs the day his wife was diagnosed, packed and left.  They had 3 year old triplets.  Real class act.

So I have been around for 9 years, and I think I have heard it all.  E-mail me if you like:  Shrk922@cox.net

Best wishes and good luck, Shirlann
