I received a newsletter (wanting donations of course) from MD Anderson this weekend. Here is their News Release that was in it.

Dr Fidler, one of the world's leading authorities on metastasis, demonstrated that metastasis is not random.  He proved that 99.9% of cancer cells that depart a primary tumor don't survive.  Metastasis can originate from fewer than 0.01% of cells - in other words just one cell.

That is what led Dr Fidler to revive the "seed-and-soil" hypothesis of metastasis of 19th-century physician Stephen Paget.  The "seed" is the fugitive cancer cell that has an affinity for certain welcoming environment, the "soil".  Simply attacking the seeds, or runaway cancer cells, is not enough.  We must also attack the soil in which metastasis cells proliferate.

Let's see... we need to go back to a doctor from the mid 1800's to learn this?  Study natural medicine outline on this and they have been saying this all along.

Please Hurry Up and get my soil plowed, sprayed, new top soil, or what ever I need to do.

    Now a Part-Time farmer I guess...

Yours beats mine.  I got something in my email saying they're looking into salmonella to kill cancer cells.  The salmonella seem to go deep into the cell, etc.   I'm thinking this is new news.  Wrong.  They had this info since 1998.  Where did it go?  Just another news release about it 10 years later with new Dr.'s looking into it.  One would think they'd compare notes.  Anyway, the NIH is funding the new Dr.'s.  Another million tossed away.  I hope Dr. Fidler has better luck.
