strapless bra question

I am going out to a fancy occasion next weekend. Now that I have the stick on prosth. it opens up other fashion options. One dress I am thinking about wearing has a halter top. I tried a bandeau type bra (strapless) and it does not seem to work. Any suggestions? I have to wear some type of bra but can't seem to find one that will work. I tried the strapless Amoena mast. bra and it does not work-too tight around me and the cup size is way too big for me. Does anyone know if somebody makes a halter type bra? I would prefer a non-underwire. I am willing to try a mast bra or a non-mast bra. Just thought I would check here first.

Hi Carol,
Just wondering, if the prosthesis is stick-on, do you really need a bra?
I know they do make them in halter style because I'd heard of women wearing them, but I don't know what company etc. -
Hi Carol,
Your post got me curious and I searched a bit. Here's a bra I came up with--a wireless "convertible" bra by Wacoal. The photo doesn't show it as a halter bra but the description says it can be converted to one. Hopefully, the cups would be big enough to contain your breast form: http://www.barenecessities.com/Wacoal_product_WACOAL65033_,size,.htm

I may have solved my own problem. Last night I tried my dress on again and laid all my bras on the bed. I noticed that the straps on the Anita mast. bra that are see through are pretty long. So, I changed them so that they cross in the back. Not quite a halter style bra but since the straps are clear you really cannot see them. I really wanted to wear the stick on prosth. but since I need a bra this will work if need be. I will try some stores around me to see if the halter style bra will work.
Darya- I have never not worn a bra with the stick on prost. I would be hesitant to do so since I think it really is made to have some type of support under it.

Carol - I use these in a regular strapless bra (I put them in horizontally). It works really well.
I think I bought them at Lingerie Solutions.com They're about $40. I also use them in my bathing suits that are on the skimpy side, because they're not as bulky as my Amoenas. Good luck! Have fun!

Personnaly, I think the best strapless bra is the 112 from ABC (Paradigm Medical). Yes, it is a little tight at fisrt, but it holds really well. It can also be worn with straps (they are removable).

You might try the Barely There Wirefree convertable bra. I think you can convert it to a halter style - I know it converts to a criss-cross.

Hi! I have the perfect bra solution for you! It is called Bustfree. You can order it on www.Bustfreeusa.com. It is strapless, backless and amazingly comfortable! It is perfect to wear with halters because the bra cups are held in place by the fabric. I wear mine with everything I can as they are so light weight and comfortable. They should be worn with fitted garments, but when I want to wear something loose, I just wear a camisole with the bra cups inside and that works great!

ok here was what I came up with for my summer tops and a few fancy camisoles I bought.....
I use my knit proth or even my foam one and slip stictch it right on the garment....I use the same color thread, and no one sees the stitches.. I even keep a travel needle & thread, just in case I see something new I must have....
hugs..

Ok, upon the advice of my fitter, I took the Anita mast. bra with the convertible see through straps and just used one strap in a halter style. Tried it on last night and it works perfectly. I can either wear the stick on prosth. or the one that goes in the mast. bra.
Tonight is going to be way fun!!

That sounds like a great solution! Have a great time tonight. (I'm off to try my Anita with the clear straps with a tank top that tends to show my bra straps.)
