Financial assistance

My sister, who lives Reading, PA, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will have surgery next week. My parents, who live in another state are driving out to be with her for at least a few weeks, possibly longer. Does anyone know if there is any financial assistance available, such as discounts on hotels that might be sponsored by breast cancer sites, or anyone else? My parents are both retired and on a limited income. Thanks in advance.
