hi5....if I did the vancouver trip I would fly out. What kind of response have you been getting and when are you hoping for this? Have you ladies in the west had the opportunity to meet at all? Viv......

Hi again daisy.... I have about 7 so far that have expressed an interest... pretty good since I just spoke of it within the past few weeks.... I can't remember if I got your e-mail addie...I'll have to get some confirmations on people who are interested because it will be necessary to book things months in advance for summertime.
-
I'd love to visit BC, but I doubt I'll be able to make it this year. Now Port Perry I can afford.
-
Hi everyone,
I was in the chat room the other day and one of you were there....I cant remember who....
Whomever you are you asked if I would like to join your Canadian get together as I live in the state of Washington...
Could someone please email me the information with any details you might have...I work full time so would have to make arrangements and get a pass port as they now require one to get back into the states....
Thank you ladies for sharing with me!!!!! I would love to make a trip to BC....and I would love to meet you all..
Hugs
Jule

mke......some of us would like to try for a local get together too, for ppl closer together, what do you think? BTW.....were are you at with your treatment? How's the recovery going for you from surgery? I know your in TO right? There are a number of women who are in the GTA so we'll try for getting something together. Also talking on ontario and durham region thread. I'd do something here if there is interest or maybe even a wild woman's weekend for anyone who likes to rough it at my camp up north on the lake!
-
I notice we haven't heard from Tracey (snowman_n_thongs) for quite awhile...does anyone know if she's okay?
-
Yes, I'm in TO and as of tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since my bilateral. I'm doing pretty well, got all my staples out, taking little walks every day, actually cooked dinner tonight.
I'd be up for a get together and once I heal up a bit more I can drive and take passengers. I've got to get the all clear on the pathology first - always something to wait on.
-
mke...okay, sweet, only 2 weeks eh? Getting rid of those staples must have been a relief to and made things look a whole lot better. Fingers crossed for your path. Here's to healing and spring. Keep in touch.....till we meet.....Hugs Viv

Hi I am Dreamwriter and am from Toronto. I am looking forward to the get together. Where is it going to be... hmmmm.
as you know already I will be bringing my support person with me. She is more disabled than I am. so we make a unique pair.
The trip is a thank you for all her work.
-
Hi dream....
I am looking forward to the get together and meeting with you and the others who will be coming.
I would like to get some feedback from you.
Would you be flying into the Vancouver International Airport or into the Abbotsford Airport? Do either you or your support person drive?
The details as to where exactly the location will be is dependent on how people are travelling and, if by air, which airport and if they drive. We will have to have a location decided within the next month.
Could you e-mail me your response at mscarff@shaw.ca
Thanks
Myrna (hi5)

Hi there: I know people are talking about get togethers. I would be just as happy to meet people for lunch/dinner at a restaurant in the GTA or Toronto.
Hope everything is going well with everyone!

Dear Hi5

WAY TO GO CANADIAN SURVIVORS!!! And, you will all be together on my 49th Birthday (the 19th) and I will be thinking about you!!! I absolutely LOVE Vancouver, spent my summers as a teen near the PnE and this summer I'll be sailing through chemo... hug a tree in Stanley Park for me! Any thoughts on this becoming an annual event? And, since I am really new to this sisterhood, are there events that happen regularly anywhere in Canada?
