Can someone tell me how long it took for your eyebrows to return to normal?  I am a little over a year out of chemo and hair is great, but eyebrows are still so sparce that I still have to "paint" them in everyday.  I know that this is a small thing, but I just want to be back to normal.  Thanks for your input.

My beautician told me to use powder not pencil on eyebrows, she thinks it looks more natural.  She had some expensive brand she recommended but I found eyebrow powder at Target that seems to work just fine.

Unfortunately eyebrows tend to diminish as we age so they may not return in full force.

Mine thinned very little, but never really disappeared.  Is it normal to lose them completely?  I had 4 rounds of A/C?

I had never used eyebrow pencil or powder until I took the 'look good feel better' class at the cancer society.  Still use it to this day, although I don't recall that I ever completely lost my eyebrows from chemo.

To anyone reading this thread, I'd like to share information I've recently learned about hypothyroidism.  Losing the outer third of your eyebrows is a symptom of an underactive thyroid.

Fatigue is another symptom, along with chronic constipation, memory problems, difficulty losing weight, brittle nails, increased cholesterol, dry itchy skin.  For many, getting diagnosis and subsequent treatment seems to require a baseball bat and a big crowbar.  I don't understand why this is.  Yet another reason for being knowledgable so we can be our own best advocate.  hope this helps someone

Hmm... I use eye shadow powder and brush it on my eyebrows.  I'm also 1 year out of chemo, and I never totally lost my hair and eyebrows.... but I also never regained them.

The funny thing is that  I really need to go in and get what's left of my eyebrows waxed (shaped).  But it just seems way wrong to have to remove some of them when I have so little (*LAUGH*).  Still, it's time.

    Life. It's always something (*grin*).
