Sounds great to me... there are some really neat shops and restaurants in Fort Langley. I'm on !!!
-
Hi 5 and Suz....
Let's wait to see when Suz responds....
Maybe we can try hook up between Christmas and New Years ish when things r quiet, or if they are quiet for you 2.
I am quite flexible with my schedule right now.
Yes, and I luv Fort Langley. My VISA doesn't tho...too many cool shops.....

I started a post just above this one in regards to a March. The women in the US want to do it in June and are deciding on a Tshirt style. I thought pink noose on a black tshirt, it would get the point across. I also thought we could march in Ottawa, but now wonde if Toronto may be better. I don't think Parliament would be in session in June. Just an idea what do you all think. Pearl
-
The more I started thinking about the tshirts and graphics I thought maybe purchasing a plain black tshirt and making a bunch of pink rope nooses we could wear around our necks it would get the point across and be easier than ordering tshirts in different sizes and amounts. And pink rope the smaller type in inexpensive and can be purchased and made for each women or man walking.Pearl

Hi Leanna & Hi5,
I would love to get together soon. I have no problem driving out as Langley has so much more of everything compared to Richmond. I dont know Fort Langley that well but am sure I could find my way there. I have an appointment with my oncologist on the 24th and I think next chemo will be on the 27. Im sure I could work out something after I get that out of the way.
Hi5, Congratulations on the nipple reconstruction. One more step done to getting back to normal.
I just had my staples removed from the port surgery so I feel so much better and much more mobile. They were really starting to get raw.
Big Hugs to feeling better day by day.

Hi Leanne and Suz:
We could meet in White Rock... that is probably about 1/2 way point between Richmond and Langley.
Leanne: been reading up on your excision etc. Sounds like things are moving along quite well for you. The waiting is the worst thing.
Suz: what was your dx?
Looking forward to chatting again soon. Myrna
-
Suz and Hi5,
White Rock works for me.....
Yes, got my dx...DCIS low grade. Meeting w/ the surgeon today so I will keep you posted.
Oh well.
Leanna
-
it's a long flight from Oakville, ON...ha ha.
Wish I could join you gals. Hope you have a great time!
-
suz and hi5,

Leanna,
I am truly so sorry for your news. If you need someone to talk to please don't hesitate to let me know.
This is probably one of the most confusing times your going to go through with way too many decisions that you have to make. As I'm sure you know Doctors & Surgeons talk to you as if you understand everything they are saying. With me personally everything stopped at "one node involved, the cancer was starting to spread". I don't remember a thing that was said after that.
What you should do now is ask your surgeon (or the receptionist) for a copy of the pathology report and start a personal file. You should be able to get copies of all the tests and procedures you've had. As you start to understand them they will help you in making a decision that is right for you.
Try to take care and seriously if you need to talk with someone on the phone or over a coffee I'm there for you. (((big warm hug))) on this cold, wet & yucky day.
Love Suz
-
Hi Myrna,
I can meet up anywhere as long as I bring my trusty map book along. If you click on my name, my full profile is there including dates and dx and so on.
I had a really rough few days with bone pain that was becoming severe. The Oncologist has changed some things so now I feel almost normal. I hope this will keep up.
Take care & big hugs.
Love Suz
-
suz,,,i am not doing well with this,,,it is christmas, and i dont know how to get thru it....i am falling apart.....
-
Leanne:
I sent you a pm since I saw your post of your latest info. This is the worse part...the fear and the waiting. Are you married? single? family? Do you know when they want to perform surgery?
Don't hesitate to call me. And, even though it's Christmas, we always have time for you. I have to leave soon to go to Maple Ridge but we could meet for a coffee tomorrow early afternoon or Monday. Don't hesitat to contact me. I care about you and want to be there for you.
Myrna
-
hi 5,,,what is a pm???
-

I will also send you my #. Let me know if you cant find it. Please take care and know we really want to be there for you. Big caring hug.
