Yes, I too believe.  I have always wondered why my mother has never come to visit me, though.

One strange event that stands out in my mind involves two situations.  These both occurred the beginning of the week of my mother's unexpected and sudden death.

I had had a discomforting dream... I won't go into details of the dream because the circumstances were not similar other than in the dream there was a body in the bathtub and it was wrapped in a sheet.  a male friend of mine was also in the dream.

a  few evenings, after the dream my friend and I were sitting on the sofa when suddenly I abruptly turned my head....I saw something like a smokey cloud float through the room and go through the front room window.  Because the movement of my head was so abrupt my friend commented on it.  I told him what I had seen.

a couple evenings later my friend and I went to a new apartment I was in the process of moving into to place a large area rug.  we were then going to his mother's to borrow her rug shampooer so that I could clean the carpet prior to moving in my furniture. we placed the carpet and I remember thinking that it would be nice to have my mom and my young sister ( who was 10 at the time and who later passed away from bc at 33) come to spend the night; I saw a telephone and picked it up to call my mom but the phone lines had been disconnected.

we left the apartment and my friend started driving back to the town my mom lived in. we drove for about 15 minutes and I sheepishly asked if we weren't going to his mom's to get the rug shampooer ( I was quite shy way back then)  Needless to say he turned around and we proceeded to drive to his mom's which was another 1/2 hour away.  We stopped for a root beer along the way, arrived at his moms and I mentioned the dream and misty thing which floated out the window...she said maybe one thing had made me think of the other. we left his mom's and went back to the apartment. we could not get into the apartment building!!!!! the caretakers had given me the key to the apartment suite but not to the exterior doors in order to prepare for my move but I was actually not a tenant at that time. we tried to draw attention of other tenants but to no avail. so the carpet didn't get done after all.

we left and drove back to my mom's home.  ( she had called me earlier and asked what I was doing... I told her what my plans were and that I would drop by later)

when we got to my mom's place I put my daughter to bed in the downstairs bedroom and called up the stairs to my mom. She didn't call back which was unusual because she usually called down as soon as I entered the house.  I felt panicky and shrieked at my young sister, asking her where mom was... she was very complacent, which irritated me... she said maybe in bed/ maybe in the bathroom.  ( it was not my nature to shriek at my younger sister.) The bathroom door was closed and I asked my friend to go into the bathroom...he really didn't want to because he said she may be asleep on the toilet or something.  I went and crawled into one of my sister's beds, covered my head with the blanket and made plans.

my friend did go into the bathroom then called 911....end of story....

Calling people including my father ( mom and dad were separated and he was not a nice person or father) and making funeral arrangements, packing things up cause mom had been renting, trying to figure out what would happen to my 4 younger siblings I only recalled the dream when I picked up a book of my moms called " kingdom of dreams'... then I got a cold chill running up and down as I remembered the dream.

I've been told that the mist I saw could have been my mom's spirit leaving her body before she died...

the reason I gave all the details is so that you could understand about the delays etc. which led me to believe that I was not meant to arrive at mom's home earlier... if I had she would probably have still been alive.

It was also a coincidence that mom's funeral was on my 22 nd birthday but she has never come to visit me.  ( the younger sibs ranged from 10-16 years old)

s o... that is one experience I had... I have also had dreams like clairvoyance etc.

    Yes I believe.

Oops... I wanted to add that the male friend who was in my dream was the male friend who entered the bathroom, found my mother's body and called 911.

i had a vivid dream last night about my stepfather...i started walking into a room and thought i could see him sitting on a bed...but the blankets were piled up so high i could only see part of his head.  as i proceeded into the room he stood up and looked at me and reached out to me.  i started screaming...and my husband woke me up.  i guess i was doing one of those muffled dream screams.  not sure why i screamed...the dream wasn't scary, but in the dream i was completely freaked out.

i just remembered...he was wearing the pajamas he was wearing when he passed away.

I'm always surprised at people who don't believe and my reason is simple.  All of us have been in room or somewhere and we get that feeling that we are being stared at, and sure enough you'll find someone staring at you. Thats energy, you can't see it, you just feel it.  I believe that energy never dies, just takes on a different form and that comforts me alot.

I do believe in ghosts, I do believe in ghosts.

When I was a teenager, after my father's death, I was thinking of him all day long. I was in the laundry room taking my clothes out of the dryer and one of my father's socks fell on the floor (not sure how it got in with my clothing). As I went to pick it up I heard in my father's voice, "That's mine."

Mind you, NO one was in the house at the time. Needless to say it FREAKED me out.

Like I said: I do believe in ghosts, I do believe in ghosts.
