Anyone shaved off the post chemo fuzz?

    So it is 6 weeks since last chemo and I have a fuzzy look, with recessing hairline.

    Was thinking.. did anyone shave the fuzz off at this point to get rid of the fuzz so the real strong hair comes in and I can skip the messy phase and just grow the hair ?

     Hi Trigeek...

    Great question... I will be back to look at the answers...I am way tempted to shave it....

    I am still on CMF not red devil anymore...so my hair will grow in but thinner...still dont want a head full of fuzz though ...lol...

    You look gorgeous with short hair btw xxx

    When mine was growing back, I recall one girl who shaved it off and she swore it grew back healthier and stronger. But another one did it too and said it didn't make much difference. So I guess it's like everything else....we all react differently.

    My own desire was to cherish and adore every little spike that grew in. I brushed my poor fuzzy head obsessively with a soft toothbrush until I graduated to a baby's brush. And the day I could draw a real brush through it was true cause for celebration.

    My wig specialist told me to shave the fuzz off so that the next phase of hair would grow in properly. I did NOT! I was measuring my fuzz hair!! LOL My hair grew in very curly and strong without shaving fuzz off and I have great hair texture today after two years since it started growing back in.

    Ok I could not stand the fuzzy look and asked the dh to trim it. I now look like a regular shaved head. Glad I did it looks a lot healthier.

     ( It is about 2-3 mm's long.. did not shave it off completely just buzzed off the tops that were going everywhere)

    Will post a before and after picture in a while.
