Lefty - my "other sisters" (biological) stayed at the All Seasons Inn in Sept! Pat is great! I did not know she is a BC survivor! The four of us stayed in, I think it was Tracy's Suite or something like that, named after her daughter. Anyho - it had 2 king beds, a small sitting area, nice bath w/ jacuzzi, little fridge and wet bar area. Great location too! Christine and I are already booked at the Basin, but I highly recommend the All Seasons B&B. And Pat does an awesome breakfast too.
Junie - I LOVE the Balcony Restaurant at the Basin. Although I've never stayed at the Basin before, I've eaten at the Balcony many times and love it. Of course it's best if you get a seat that over looks the street.
Jack's Place. Damn, I've had some fun there! Every time I've been, I end up making new drinking buds!
I can't wait for our trip girls!
Middle Aged Women Go Wild. I can see the video cover now.
Susan, you might be thinking about a cover for our DVD
LOL! -
Hey Sam-
C'mon to ES, It'll be fun to see you again! So we don't have to drive over an hour to gamble in a 2 day trip, maybe we could get a late night card or dice game going? Anyone play farkle? I'd hate to take my friends money, so we can play for change- if that can pacify the gambler in some of us (junie?) lol

Christine - I think I know "Farkle" as 10,000? Fun game and you don't have to think a lot, so it's a great "drinking" game LOL!
And as far as taking your friend's money...well, all I have to say is they don't call me "Dice Bitch" for nothin'

For some reason, my last post posted twice, so I deleted the duplicate. I know - you guys probably thought I'd posted something totally outrageous. That might come later....
-
All I can say to CG's last post is, LOL.
Makes me want to see ya'll again that much sooner.
Donna if the elevator is still out of order, we can sleep in the lobby! Ha, can you see me snoring in public? Horrifying thought!
-
CG, Glad you have enjoyed your stays in the past in Eureka Springs. The All Seasons Inn had a fire sometime this last year or maybe this year. They were working on the foundation while we were there last week. I believe I heard where they expect to have it rebuilt and completed in Sept. It will be brand new!! They had recently renovated the Daffodil, since it had a bit of damage from the fire also. Yes Pat was very nice and we chatted about Breast Cancer, and our journeys. She is 2 years out.
-
Still hoping to come see ya all. Time will tell
I have the games Catch Phrase and Taboo - they really get "funner" with more alcohol. Haven't heard of Farkle, Christine - but would love to learn.
Liz - where in OK do you live? I was just at the casino 1 mile east of Newkirk - are you close by there? Maybe we could carpool. I know how to make it to Newkirk but I am terrible following maps. I have always told my DH I would love to do the Amazing Race (love that show). He said we would kill each other before it was over as I can't read maps and I can't follow directions!!! I thought he could do it all.
Cheers
-
Lefty - I knew the All Seasons had a fire some time back. When sisters and I stayed in the Tracy Suite back in Sept it was freshly remodled.
Christine - supposedly, the Basin has undergone a recent renovation and the elevator is now working, so you won't have to sleep in the lobby and disturb people

Sam - I don't know where Newkirk is, but Liz lives in Ponca City. I too have NO sense of direction. I bought BF a GPS for Christmas, and it's awesome! All of us "directionally challenged" people should have one!
-
OK still not out of this yet...will check into flights ..

-
Hey Sam - I live about 20 minutes from that Casino! I'm south of Newkirk. Once I know for sure that I'm going to get to go - we'll talk about meeting up somewhere.
I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks............
-
Hi all,
I made the mistake of signing up for something online and now I am receiving the endless supply of information about Eureka Springs. I will call the lady from All Seasons.
Love the games idea. Also I have a karaoke machine. Got it for Christmas. We will be making a CD.
I will print some maps of Eureka Springs with hotel locations. It will help decide.
thanks for all who are chiming in with suggestions. we need a fun outing.
Oh I can also go ride the basin elevator!!!!!
-
I just booked us at the Piedmont House B&B. Is owned by the same people as All Seasons - she's very friendly!
-
Woo Hoo-
This is sounding like a real get-together now.
I look forward to happier times than today at bc.org, with the loss of our beloved Cy. We will make some happy memories in her honor, drink a toast of whatever and "smile" at all those we meet along the way!
-
Hi Girls:
Looks like I will most likely be able to do this one: close to home and I will be working the new gig in Tulsa starting tomorrow, so should have some $$ and be able to afford the trip without guilt. Recommendations on where to stay? Anyone want to go in together on the suite? I am game for what ever just want to be close to the "action" where ever that might be. Also, forgot, what weekend is this? My birthday is April 18, so this can be my birthday present from me to me. LOL.

Hi , I only live about 20 miles from 'Eureka Springs so hopefully I can come over at least one day and get to know you all. I live in Eagle Rock Mo, We retired here a couple years ago. Would be nice to meet friends close to home. My hubby loves to fish so if your hubby likes to fish and you live close by , maybe we can fix them up
Delorisann
-
Hey delorisann- Right on, another MO gal.
So far it has only been me (st.louis) Susan (springfield) and cheri (buffalo, but I have not seen her post lately) WELCOME!
-
Hi delorisann and cathy, I say the more the merrier, so come on down (or over or whatever)
And although Christine has already forgotten, I will be attending as well, in fact, I am sharing a room with Christine (unless you found a different roommate?) LOL!
-
OK Donna- you once lived in MO, so you can count as a MO gal.
I couldn't forget you, but I think of you as an OK gal. delorisannis from Eagle Rock, MO. You probably have a better idea where that is, than I do

-
OKAY! Looks like some reserves have been made and a lot of people thinking to want to come, if possible.
I'm just throwing this out, because I'm not sure what the game plan is for this get-together.
We're going to be gone for several days prior to, but plans are, on our way back home, to pick up SG, who may fly in from Ohio, and make it to Eureka Springs in time for dinner Fri nite--Sparky's hamburgers sound good to me! Or, Shawbies, just up the street--good food there, also. We live about 15-20 minute drive north of Eureka Springs. Since it seems all will be driving in, I am offering to have you all come to my house Sat aft/eve--we can spread out all over the deck, weather permitting--or inside. Lots of room to have games and set up karoake (sp)...anyways--just my initial thoughts. I will feed you and have whatever you ask for ahead of time to drink--barring blender drinks--if you want blender drinks you're own your own--I'll set it out on the counter!
and, do I ever have a dice game--bring some quarters! one to the left, two to the right, 3 in the pot, 4,5,6 safe--it is a hoot! Anyway--would have some room to spread out Not take up tables somewhere, drink/eat cheap, and get wild and crazy.
just my suggestions--someone chime in!!!
Whatever--looking forward to seeing some old friends and meeting new ones!!!
hugggssssss, junie
-
Hey girls~
Junie - I appreciate your generous offer to invite us into your home for the filming of "Middle Aged Women Go Wild"! Sounds good to me!
I ate at Sparky's for the first (and only) time in Sept last year and they have a great burger, AND a fantastic beer selection, which is good, since I think it's against the law in AR to eat a burger without a cold beer.

-
Middle Aged Women Go Wild - LOL!!!
Saturday at your house sounds great - let me know what I can bring. It's nice of you to invite us! Our B&B does a Friday dinner and we will probably do that and recuperate from the drive!
-
I thought I asked this before: what weekend in April is the get together? I have to plan ahead as my job work schedule is laid out 6 weeks in advance.
Thanks,
Cathy G
-
I'm pretty sure I read back and its April 11-13. Is that correct everyone? I'm going to work on making reservations tomorrow and want to make sure as well.
-
Yes, that is right. The 11th-13th.
-
Kari--thanks, but you don't need to bring anything--just your mom! I will have masks available for anyone who wants to be anonymous on the Middle Aged Girls Gone Wild video--that will no doubt end up on U-Tube! (may have that wrong--where do people post those crazy videos??) hmmmmm, didn't know we were going to make a movie!!! I'm having a great time just thinking about this! and, can't wait!!!
Susan--are you making arrangements with bc.org to bring the banner with you for us all to sign?
I'll check in again tomorrow, but then, weather permitting, we'll be gone for a week--trip to see family in New Mexico--but, a nice stop off will be in Tulsa and hopefully meet CasinoGirl!
Lots going on with all of us, but I am really looking forward to this get-together!
hugggsssss, junie
-
Hey girls,
I just got home from meeting Junie! Met her and DH Bob at the Cherokee Casino. Junie and I played some slots and of course I was a big loser. Why I am CasinoGirl is a mystery to me!
I can't wait until we all meet next month! We're gonna have FUN!
-
I'm so excited. I will have time to work on this hopefully tomorrow. get the banner and all.
hugs
Cathyg I have not gotten a room yet. Are you interested in a suite. That might be fun and with two of us not too expensive. let me know.
-
Donna- I had no idea you were going to meet my friend from our Vegas trip, Junie! Didn't she teach you to play 3-card poker? What a fun game and a fun gal! I am glad ya'll had fun!
Junie- Sat at your house sounds great! I can bring some food, if there are any good grocery stores along the way, I can whip something up! You know I love that!
Looks like all of us gals have gotten or are getting some weather! We should have 6-9" by tomorrow pm, I just hate the ice! Only 17 more days until Spring. Woo Hoo!
