LIFE'S A BEACH!

She sells sea shells on the sea shore;
The shells that she sells are sea shells I'm sure.
So if she sells sea shells on the sea shore,
I'm sure that the shells are sea shore shells. -
Iris: Have a Great time on the coast of NC. I know it's beautiful where you are going and I'll just imagine I'm there with you! Not only did they damage the mailbox, but they took the entire thing! I'm hoping it was just a juvenile prank myself. Probably the same kids that stole the pump from our pool a couple of years ago!
Susan: That is the greatest beach picture. I can just feel my feet in the cool sand. I Love the Outer Banks and cannot wait to go back some day.
Neesie: Thanks, I took a Darvocet and Soma .. slept real nice and woke up with the kink still there but got a couple hours of relief anyway. Your posts always make me laugh!
Faith: That's very cool what you do! I bet you enjoy yourself!
Amy: Thinking of you and wondering how the doctor visit went today.

Love the pictures of the beaches and water. My SO and I are planning a trip to Marco Island, Florida in early April. I guess I must be getting better because up until recently I haven't wanted to plan anything more than a month in advance.
Ginger - none of us included this nightmare in our plan. I sometimes wonder who's in charge, if anyone. We're here with you.

Hi everyone, I haven't read back but wanted to invite everyone for a drink. It's my 20th wedding anniversary. It's a lovely day on the beach isn't it?
-
Happy 20th Liz.
-
Here's the drinks

safe and sound back in OH......... where it was 16 degrees when the plane landed -- a pretty far flung difference from last weeks 83 and 84!! but my dear grandson was in the car and that made it worthwhile to come home!
happy anniversary, liz.
susan: those pics look like i could pick up anyone of those roses or drinks!
angel: my work is absolutely the most fun imaginable. must go get organized -- reshuffle all of my luggage (puppets, props etc etc) tomorrow i make my monthly visit to our children's hospital child care. also see my onc in the afternoon.... just the reg 6 mo follow-up, but always makes me keenly aware of the journey
amy: hoping that the meds are kicking in for some relief from the shingles. i just remembered that as mine finally subsided, it left my skin so 'harsh' to the touch -- almost as bad as the burn from the radiation for the way it felt. it's been months since i thought about it..... hope yours can be managed as much as possible
am picturing a beach sunset, with all the trimmings....... who's got a pic of something gorgous in that category? all you pic posters -- who can find the pic with the most colorful, beach sunset? bong: let the contest begin
-
Shrink .. Hello to you! That's great news that you're up for a trip now ... I know what you mean, I'm just now starting to feel up to doing anything myself. Great quote!
Liz .. Happy Anniversary sweet lady!
Susan .. Thanks, I'll take that one with the pineapple sticking out of it.
-
Faith: welcome back to reality huh? good thing we have this thread! You volunteer for the children in the hospital too .. how rewarding that must be. Okay, I'll have to go find a sunset pic later .. dinner time first!
-
Charlene,
Thank you for the heart felt invitation to this wonderful site.
I will read back so I can get the full flavor of the thread but from just what I see this is a happenin happy place.

Hi girls,
Char, need a big umbrella tomorrow - it's pouring outside right now and supposed to be all week, but I'm on the beach so I' ok.
Jas, we did worry about you, not like you to go MIA.
Iris, I love your posts - you remember everything. No, not sunny and pretty in CA today - was pretty gloomy and wet today. I've heard the Outer Banks are nice and would like to go sometime.
Susan, you just made me laugh - Neesie fell out of bed and got hurt?
Neesie, remember, I'm the one who broke my foot by sliding on a piece of tanbark and then sprained the same foot the same way 4 months later!!!
Faith, what a nice story.
Loving the pics girls.
Shrink, glad you are looking forward to the trip.
Liz, I'll join you in a drink. Make mine a double.
Sahalie, glad you found us.
Amy, you feeling better?
Ok, Idol is on so have to go. See you on the beach tomorrow.
Margo
-
Faith: How's that for a colorful beach sunset?
Sahalie: So glad you came! Moorea and Bora Bora .. WOW! I bet you have some nice pictures from there!
Margo: OMG, one of the guys on Idol resembles John Travolta in the face .. tell me if you know which one! He's also one of my favorites.
BMD: Miss you girl, where are you?
-
wowwow that's what i call a sunset!! knew i could count on you angel
it's snowing like crazy outside..... why did i come back? it looks like a snow globe explosion right now!! traffic's gonna be wild!!
there's never any traffic in these beach scenes, maybe that's another reason it's paradise @ the beach
-
Char, love that beach scene, especially after last night's rain here. I can't picture the one who looks like John Travolta. I fell asleep last night.
Faith, I have rain, you have snow - we really have to meet at the beach.

This is the saddest time I have ever experienced here on bco.org - I have no words, but send a hand of love and friendship.
Im praying for everyone, to find the strength to help so many who are in such need right now. Who need to be comforted.
Its a sad day.
Cheri I know you were close to CY and you must be devastated with the loss of your brother. Im sorry you are having to go through this.

Thanks Susan for posting that as I was not at home or around a computer and came here to do the exact same thing. My thoughts go out to Cy and her family and also to Cheri and her family as they deal with a tragic loss.

I have no words now, just sadness, but Neesie, you're so right about Cheri.
