Hi All,
Glad to have found this site. I was diagnosed w/IDC, Grade 3, 2.2cm tumor, triple negative 10-17-07. I had a mastectomy 11-2-07 and began chemo 12-27-07. I joined a clinical trial and am receiving TC every 3 weeks. Just looking for some info on this type of breast cancer and any words of wisdom from those who have or are currently traveling this road. I am really glad to have found this site.

Welcome to the group Sue. Sometimes saying that just doesn't seem right. No one really wants to be here. I hope your treatments go smooth. You will find some wonderful information on this board.

Hi Sue,
Sorry you had to join us. What will your treatment be after TC? I'm just wondering why it was almost 2 months from surgery to chemo. Did you have radiation?
Hopefully you have little side effects from chemo.
Living in hope,
Flalady

Hi Sue,
Glad you found us. I remember when I first realised there was a thread for trip negs I was so relieved. No one in my "real life" understood trip neg bc and everything on the net was terrifying. I am trip neg, stage 3A, dx 6/6/06. Had mastectomy, 4 DD A/C then 4 taxetere, then 25 rads. I'm 20 months out and NED.
Any questions you have just post them. The gals here are great and very helpful.

Hi Sue. I echo the welcomes and sympathies. I was diagnosed over a year ago. I agree, it's so reassuring to have other women with a similar diagnosis to talk to. My friends and family don't really get it, as much as they try. We're a pretty good bunch of women here and there's so much knowledge and experience to share.
I had T and C but in separate courses of treatment. The C(ytoxan) with A (AC) dose dense and the T (Taxotere) following, also dose dense. I underwent a bilateral mastectomy in June and, well, long story short, I went for more chemo... 4 (C)arboplatin treatments. Is the C of your TC treatment Cytoxan or Carboplatin? Taxotere and Carboplatin are showing promising results for triple negative BC.
