My daughter made me cry

I took my older daughter shopping the other day to get her a first communion dress and she bought a notebook that had a pink breast cancer ribbon on it.  A few days later I looked to see what she wrote and on the first page it said  "when I was 8 my Mom had breast cancer but she lived".  It made me cry because I know that she isn't scared about me dying anymore.  She has had such a hard time with my diagnosis, but now I really believe it is all behind me and so does she.  I just wanted to share...

Wow. That would have made me bawl. My boys were 4 when I was diagnosed. I think they were oblivious to most of it all. They are now 7.

What a compassionate girl you have. TFS.

Wink  Out of the mouth of babes!  THank you so much for sharing!  My dd (24 y/o) and I have a journal we pass back and forth.  Haven't in a couple years, but it was /is nice to read through it on occasion just to catch up on where we've been and where we aim to go! :D

I don't even know you and I am crying thinking about it.  Every once in a while one of my girls (4,6 and 8 when I was diagnosed 2 years ago) will tell me what they were really thinking when I was going through treatment.  It is amazing how resilient children are.
