Anyone heard of zorb???

My dh has heard all about zorb and wants to try it. Remember throwing yourself and rolling down steep hills as child? Well, zorb is kind of the same thing without the chiggerbug bites and there's added padding. You get inside and roll/tumble down a steep hill.
I don't know. He hasn't convinced me yet. I think he's tired of health issues in our lives and just wants to whoop it up. Can't blame him but this looks a little too...extreme??? I know I did prop stunts in my teens but I'm thinking I've either a) grown a few yellow feathers or b) become more sensible and wise.
What do you think about the zorb craze? ~S

They have them at Pigeon Forge. It is like a big tire innertube but in a ball shape. There are actually two ways to ride it, one you are strapped in and holding on to handles. The other one you are free floating and they put in about 20 gal of water and it is like a water slide. I saw it on GMA last summer while I was home recovering. I don't know if I would like to do it, but my son would love it.

Omigod! I saw this question in "active conversations" and didn't notice it was in the "Moving Beyond" forum...
I thought it was a new chemo drug! Some combo of Zeloda and Tykerb...

Sheila....Was that the thing that Robin tried on GMA? It looks awesome and I'd totally do it in a New York minute! Are you serious that they have them at Pigeon Forge??? I just might have to drop over there the next time I head out to Asheville!

Hey, I'd go for it in a heartbeat! Looks like such fun and hardly any way to get hurt--I'm not into bungy jumping, but this looks like real fun.

Did they do this on Amazing Race one season? I feel like I've seen it somewhere but I can't place it...
I think I'll stick to rolling down the grass... now that there's no danger of my dad fertilizing first I should be ok. LOL

Well dh has gone so far as to check hotels in the Pigeon Forge area and looked at mapquest. 1000+ miles to climb in a giant ball and roll down a hill. I am still not convinced but I have a feeling that IF he can get some vacation time, we'll be going on a road trip. If the trip happens, I'll post a pic of the results!
Erica, eww! fertilizer? The worst we had to worry about was the chigger bugs and fire ants.

be sure to give me a heads up if you go to PF, I live on the way there and would love to buy you a cup of coffee!
