I've been writing on a site called 100words.com. It's very cool - you write 100 words each day and if you do a whole month they put up the writing on the site. It's a great way to get me writing every day no matter what.

This is what I wrote yesterday:

I remember it looking like a sculpture. Like a perfectly round rock on a flat surface. I remember seeing the date on the screen with it: FEB 10 '06. I remember thinking, "This is the day I'm seeing my cancer." Terrified, it was almost a relief. The overly calm look in the doctor's eye. The eager, innocent demeanor of the medical student until they came back to pierce it with a needle. Three women in a room. All medical providers, all on one side of the chart. One crossing over. Two years later, back from the other side. Wiser. Younger.

Two years! Amazing. The day after Valentine's Day is the day she called with the biopsy results. This year it is a celebration.

    Hey Jorf,

Good to "see" you!  Sounds like things are going well.  I just past 2 years on Jan. 22nd.

The writing site sounds cool.  I may have to check it out.  I actually just finished writing a children's book so am now looking into getting it published.  Sort of daunting.  I don't want to make money or be famous, I just want my story out there.
