    Hi everyone.  I'm in a bad bad bad mood.  My aortic aneurysm has grown in 3 months, so I'm looking at surgery in the next few months.  Open heart crack open your ribcage surgery.  6-8 weeks out of work.  I'm sooooooo mad and crabby about this I can hardly breath.

    Oh, Jill...I am so sorry.  It DOES suck ..and it's scary.  {{big hugs}}

    When are they looking at doing the surgery?

    Take care,

    Bugs

    Jill, that sucks. xoxo

    My friend had the same surgery around the same time as my BC surgery in 2005. While it took him several months to get his strength back, he is doing just fine. Of course, he's predisposed to being a lazy slug, so that probably didn't help his recovery time. I will keep good thoughts for you that you have an "easy" recovery :)

    Hugs

    Here's wishing you a speedy recovery following your surgery, Jill.  I'm so sorry you have yet another crappy road to travel and wish you the best.  Keep us posted on the date of the surgery, once scheduled.

    warmly-

    The surgery isn't scheduled yet.  I have to meet with a few more drs and have a few more tests so they know better what they'll do.  I'm thinking it will be in March - later March.

    Jill, I'm so sorry.  And more doctor appointments!?  That's just what you wanted! Let us know when "this" is going to happen.

    I'm sorry too, Jill. If its any comfort, I've had the crack-your-ribs-open-up-your-chest surgery and they do give you lots of pain killers to get you through. The worst after-effect I had was being unable to sneeze or laugh for several weeks and needing to sleep with a ton of pillows propping me up.

    This too shall pass, sweetie. Hang in there.

    What bothers me too is that I won't be able to pick up Samuel during that time.  That will be super hard!

    Jill....You'll be able to hold him close though, as long as someone carries him for you. And in about 3 weeks, you'll still be a bit sore, but pretty much able to do everything. It does suck, but at least it's all about getting fixed up and good-as-new, right?

    He looks so adorable! Have you taken any more recent pics?
