TIME FOR NYC GET TOGETHER

Thinking of you tomorrow, Femme!!!
(((hugs)))

Hi ladies,
Another NYC get together! It was 4 and 1/2 years ago that we all met at the Oyster bar. What a great time we had. Not many of the ladies who were there still come to the boards. But I think of them often, and know they're moving on with their lives and doing well!
I wanted to let you know that there is a BC.org banner (maybe you already know this?). If you contact someone at the web site (it used to be Melissa) they should send it to you. We have all signed it over the years and I think its a neat tradition. We also got t shirts at one time - I don't know if they'll still do that.
Have a great time!!

I just saw this now... is this a open thing?

Nosurrender -- yes, this is open!
As jdash said, "let's try and spread the word"
-
Felicia,
Sure we can drive together. I don't drive in the city but my husband has said he will take us all down in his van. Let me know and we can meet up in Rockland and go together.

I will be there on March 9th. Just let me know the physical address so I can find my way around. The price is very affordable for Brunch with unlimited MAMOSAS. Let me know if we are doing this as a fundraiser. I am involved in quite a few. An additionial $10 is in the budget so let me know.
Thanks ..see you soon.

well i guess its up to everyone or anyone who can go for the extra $10 maybe we can make it optional
i hope we get a big turnout! the more the better and more fun : ))))))) -
I definitely vote for making the fundraising optional, so as many Board Members as possible can attend. Those who have more disposable income could certainly donate more than $5 or $10 to bc.org!
[I assume that the $30 does not include tax (8.25%) or tip (as a former waitress, I would tip at least $6 on $30) -- also, many places automatically add 18% tip for parties of more than 6 -- Jdash, will this be the case?]
Jdash, this is at 49th Street and Seventh Avenue, right? 729 Seventh Avenue?
What time?
-
Any chance we don't do it before noon? With everyone having to travel, to make it earlier might be hard... any thoughts?
Also, do we have a time limit to stay there?
Remember our last get together in NYC, and we sat around talking for soooo long, that after three hours they kicked us out.
-
Yes -- time limit is another question I have as well. Waiting until at least noon is no problem for me.
-
If we could get the exact address and what it will cost with all the incidentals that Ann mentioned, and a time that is a little later like Beth mentioned- and then the suggested BCO donation amount- that would be great.
I am happy to donate to BCO.
And Julia, is there a special dress code at Hawaiin Tropic Zone?? I need to know if I should send my grass skirt to the cleaners....
-
hahaaaha gina funny! i will get more details from my client i would supposed it would be plus tip and tax will ask - i am hoping he can put us in a more private area so we can hang out as long as we want
i am going to ask a few other clients and see what deals i can come up with i would loveeeee to get a big turn out -
Thanks, Julia!
-

This sounds great! Count me in!
Felicia and Desny I would love to carpool with you!
Thanks for doing this, Julia.
We should probably spread the word around the boards and start a list of committed participants.
(Hey Femme, I hope your surgery went well and you're recovery is speedy)
Peggy -
fantastic peggy soooo glad you are coming too lets spread the word on the board and get a big turnout it will be lots of fun
-
Hi Pegk and Felicia,
If you would like to ride together maybe we should pm each other on where to meet. Maybe at a Mall and ride together from there. Hope you are still planning to attend. Let me know.
-
Desny, I sent you a pm. Peg, I'll email you tomorrow when I get my 'puter back...
-
Arpy and some of the other ladies from the chatroom want to come. Arpy is coming from NJ. I am giving them the info tonight.
Told them you are planning it Julia.
