    I haven't seen anything from you recently. How is your recovery going? You are coming up on your one month date.

    Hi, ladies,

    I've been hanging out on the reconstruction thread mostly.  I'm doing very well.  I saw ps last thursday and he said everything is looking very good.  He took out my drains on the donor site and that was a big relief.  I've been getting out to shop and dinner and I drove for the 1st time this weekend.  My recovery has been easier than I anticipated.  I started walking on my tread mill at week 2, very slowly of course, but I've been able to increase the speed and the amt of time. That has really helped my recovery and my state of mind. This is very doable.  The time spent waiting is the hardest.

    Peaches, how are you making out with insurance appeal?

    Glad to hear you're doing well.  

    Got my refusal for the initial request of in-network benefits for Dr. Allen. I'm now putting together an appeal letter, trying to get enough data to make a good case. I am running into a bit of a roadblock, because insurance gave me alternative doctors, but Dr. A did not recommend IGAP afterall, but a form of TUG. So, now I have to find out what experience the recommended doctor has with that surgery.

    Ophelia...I'm also glad to hear you're doing well~and very happy to hear you say that 'this is very doable'!!  I need to hear that~
