deb i live in long island too i am in woodbury where are u? i picked manattan since its so easy for everyone in the surrounding areas to get to last time we did this we didnt get a big turnout this time i want a big BASH : 0 )
-
I can't believe you live in Woodbury. I live in Lake Grove by the Smithhaven mall. I grew up in Oyster Bay! E-mail me and I'll give you my phone number. My hubby is retired from the LIRR so we can go into NYC on my pass if you want to take the railroad. I think BethNY lives in Plainview or Bethpage. This is going to be great!
-
I think if we make a date thats too far away everyone will find a reason to back out. I say March 2nd or 8th.
-
Hi,
I would love to get together. Either March 2nd or the 8th works. Let me know where, I would love to get to meet everyone!
-
March 2nd is a Sunday, March 8th is a Saturday -- either works for me!
-
March 1st is what I meant... but Sunday brunch could be nice too.
-
Count me in for the 8th or 9th--cannot do the 1st or 2nd--I will to be watching whales in Hawaii!
-
Lucky you! You'll have to bring pictures!
-
I'll be in Puerto Rico 03/2 - 03/08. I can most likely do the 1st! Whatever works the best for most is what will be. If I have to miss this time around...I'll be there for the next one
-
ok so is saturday better than sunday? either is fine for me we can do a brunch i am going to check with a few of my clients in manattan see what i can put together march 8 or 9???
-
Either is fine for me -- l'll go with the vote of those who have to travel further.
DebzNY -- if we do Sunday March 9th, can you come?
-
College Point here....does that count as NYC?
-
Of course, bgraham2ny! Queens is NYC!
-
Of course, bgraham2ny! Queens is NYC!
-
Saturdays are bad for me (karate!) and I have a tournament on 3/2 - but please don't plan around my schedule, ladies!
Just let me know when and I'll try my best to get there.
Don't forget about PegK! She's from my neck of the woods - Orange County... -
Thanks for asking...March 9th is doable for me, I'll be back from my trip. I would really like to meet everyone if it works. I realize there are many schedules to consider so if I'm home...I'll be there!

Thanks Ann - would be nice to know someone close that's going through the same things.
-
So Sunday March 9th is looking good. Julia/jdash -- do you have a place in mind?
This is exciting! Jdash, Jane/OneBadBoob, BethNY, DebzNY, Desny, Felicia (maybe PegK), bgraham2ny, me -- that's 8 or 9.
I think I'll PM Nagem and Carolina since I've Pm'd each about some other stuff.
-
March 9 is good for me--
Anyone ever gone to the Turkish Kitchen?
They have an incredible selection of fresh, delicious foods on the Sunday Buffett--something for everyone--not joust Turkish--just a thought. And price is reasonable at $21.95.
Anyone else choosing a place?
-
Jane, Turkish Kitchen sounds great to me.
Julia (jdash) mentioned picking a place -- did you have a place in mind, Julia?
I'm guessing midtown, near to Grand Central and/or Penn Station will be good. Turkish Kitchen works on that score.
-
Please include the physical address for those of us who are subway-challenged and can't get anywhere without GPS, lol...

hey, I'm new to posting. I'm having a PBM and one step alloderm recon tomorrow, Feb 12th. I would love to meet some of you wonderful women/girls. I've been posting on the LCIS board sand the reconstruction and proph mast threads. Am i invited to this? It would sure be a goal for me to be well enough to come. I live in Manhattan in the 60's.
femme -
Femme, of course you're invited!
I'd say anyone who can get there is invited, right jdash?
We have date: Sunday March 9.
I think we still need to confirm time and place?
-
Count me in. I've penciled March 9th onto my calendar.
The more the merrier, I say! -
By the way, Femme, do you live in the East or West 60s? (I work in the W.60s)
Good luck with your procedure tomorrow. -
I live in the east 60's. Thanks for the good wishes, Pegk. I'm the first case tomorrow at Weill Cornell NY Presbyterian Hospital. I have to be there at 6 AM. But I really I feel I made every decision about my surgery along the way, and now it is... fate, kismet, the gods and goddesses, positive energy and luck that will be in charge. Oh the doctors will have a hand in all this also!!!
