New triple diagnoses

Hello I was directed to this board because we just found out the my mom is what you call triple negative......Her surgeon of course did not tell me that I just posted her results on this web-site and of course all my new friends told me what it meant......So the surgeon told her that she has two options mastectomy or partiel mastectomy with radiation ...but she said she would have to wait for lymph results before knowing if she would need chemo......she is 77 years old I dont know if she can take the chemo and its side effects.....my mom still has not made a destion on what operation to have but from what I have read (correct me if wrong) the full mastectomy would be a better option given that there is more of a chance of reoccurance with tripels ......I know that I need to wait for the lymph results that will make all the difference ,,,but I just need some idea of possiable out comes with either diagnosis or idea .

Also her mass is really deep and close to the breast wall as the doctor said the 7:00 postion of the left breast and at 2.1 cm she still says its stage 1 but they have no grade on the lab report....I am confused since everything I read says stage 2.........
