IBC and foot pain?

My wife was diagnosed with ibc in sept. of 06'. She had eight chemo treatments,(AC and taxol) MRM (Jan.07') and 30+ radiation treatments. She finished her chemo Dec. of 06' and last rads. were early April of 07'.
She is doing very well but has been having alot of pain in her feet, especially in the morning. She finally
asked the doctor about it and she gave her "gabapentin" for neuropathy.
The pain started during her treatments and lately has been getting worse. She is eating a healthy diet
and we walk every day for exercise. She thought she would be feeling much better seeing that all her treatments stop nearly a year ago. Has anyone one else had this problem? Thanks for your help. -
I finished chemo nov 06 and rad feb 07 and I had to go back to work in may 07 and I have noticed the last couple of weeks my feet are killing me. Before I was diagnosed I had neuropathy in just my left foot from back problems, now I have neuropathy in both feet and hands. I see a pain managment Doctor and just told him again how bad my feet are the last week my feet feel like they are sleeping no matter what I'm doing standing sleeping ect. he thinks it's from my back and he put me on lyrica been on it acouple of days it seems like it's feeling better I'll know for sure sunday my 4th day of work. I think it's alittle more than from my back. I also still have problems with my toenails and toes from the taxol numbness and tingling turning red and the nail gets real soft. I'm still trying to find out more if I do you'll be the first to Know, But it's kind of nice that it's not just me the only thing is that it's you wife too.

I finished chemo only 4 months ago (I had taxol as well) and I still have pain, pins and needles, and tingling in my legs and feet. I also have it in my hands. Taxol is infamous for the nerve damage it causes, and unfortunately, it sounds like your wife is dealing with this still. From other people I have talked to at my onc's office while in the infusion room, I hear that it is quite common to continue to have problems on and off. I hope that you can find something to help with her pain and discomfort. Best wishes!

I had some foot tingling after chemo (A/C & Taxol) was completed, but it went away for a few months, and then started up again in both the feet and fingers! Did some research and found out it could possibly be a side effect of the BP medicine I started taking at the same time (Lisinopril) ... have your wife check side effects of ANY of the meds she is on, it might not be chemo-related.
I now have "aches & pains" in all my joins first thing in the AM - athralgia related to the Letrozole I take. It improves through the day but never really goes away. Price I pay for the clean checkups.
