Hi Ladies, I posted this at not diagnoised board this morning but now I am getting scared. Background--

Two weeks ago I had excisional surgery to remove 2 complex masses. This was my 3rd surgery over a couple of years. My biospy came back B9. Very Cool. However, woke up this morning and huge change to my breast from my nipple and below,  my breast has changed color and the texture is different, also it I have little pin holes in that area. What is so weird is this area is not even close to the excision site which is about 1:00 above my nipple. What do you guys think, should I have contacted the surgeon and we are now playing phone tag.  Could it be possible that I now have Cancer and if so how can it not show up during my biopsy 2 weeks ago. Can IBC show up this fast can it be IBC? Ok, getting concerned.

I know that I won't know anything until I speak with the surgeon but any information would be great.

Thanks, Robyn

Thanks, Robyn

Changes to my breast seemed to have happened overnight - bruising, swelling, redness, skin changes.  There can be many symptoms of IBC and those are a few.  However, it can be something else.  My IBC never showed up in the pathology reports and not even in the skin biopsy.  The diagnosis was made clinically by presentation.  It's good that you'll be seeing the surgeon.  Try not to worry until then.  I'll be thinking of you, Robyn.  Please let us know how it goes.

Mine showed up over 3-4 days and gradually got worse until I started chemo. They did not find it in the biopsy but was confirmed when it started shrinking away with each chemo treatment until it was gone prior to surgery.

Talk to your doctors and make sure you are happy with the results.

Mine came up very quickly/subtly and changed very little for several weeks then all of the sudden became very red and warm to touch.  Good that you're seeing the surgeon soon but don't worry too much until then.
