Happiest Birthday to you Odalys!  And you too, ML.  I can't remember if I officially told you on your b-day, just remember cheering you on in the mojo department!

Gotta go, but wanted to say hi.  I dropped Daniel off at school and ran home to get some executor stuff done for my Dad's estate.  Ick.  What a royal pain in my ever growing butt.  CryYell.  I can't stop eating, even while being on Jenny Craig.

Anyway, love, hugs, and prayers to you all!  Deb

Ah, thank you friends. We have such chocolate lovers in this group.  I can't wait to meet you all in person.  We are going to have so much fun!  BTW - Shall we make it a girls only weekend?

Anna - how are you feeling?

Feeling pretty good, but still have to take some pain meds at times and then sleep them off for hours and hours. I get physical therapy at home three times/week and can get around fairly well on my walker. The clinic where I had my surgery is very adamant about not letting you put more than 50% of your weight on the leg with the new joint for at least three weeks, so it's either crutches or walker for now. I worry about the crutches triggering lymphedema, so will stick with the walker for a little longer. Little dog loves all the napping and has learned to play her fetching games on the bed as opposed to having me run after her around the kitchen island. I told my PT the other day that I could almost get used to this totally self-centered lifestyle of getting up when I feel like it, napping when I feel like it and having hubby help out even more than usual (I married a man who loves to cook and who cleans up after himself because he was a single parent before I met him).

My daughter has passed the half-way mark now and is feeling less of the nausea. Baby is due early June. She just spent an entire week getting over the flu and strep throat and just informed me that her husband now has the flu, so she'll have to help him get through it. I told her to wear a mask; I don't know if you can keep catching things from each other but she has never been sick as often as this year, and this is the year she got her first flu shot. Makes you wonder....

What does LAT 56 report? I hope she's well.

Yes, happy belated birthday, Mary Lou, I had forgotten your birthday was in January! I think we had a list at one point, but I can't find it now. Does anyone remember and if so, could you PM us?

Happy happy weekend to all my sisters with love,

    Anna

I can't wait for our trip!!!!!

Anna, so wonderful to hear that you are on the mend!  Your dh sounds fantastic.  Greg was once a "cooker," but he HATES it.  His Mom and Grandma were the types to cook everything from scratch, so he is a firm believer in doing the same, and HATES the effort.  Kinda funny!  On our first, no, wait, third date, he had me over for dinner and cooked for me.  I cooked for him the next week.

Sigh....memories!  Our 6 year anniversary of the day we met is on February 20th.  Our 5 year anniversary is on April 13th.  I want so badly to do something amazing for both.  He has been my everything, even when I am a beast to him.  Is there ever a way to tell our hubbies how wonderful they truly are?

I also vote yes for a girl's only trip.  I have mentioned the trip to Greg, and he is a little wary of it being a "family" trip, because he knows I'll be immersed in talking to you guys.

Ok, gotta go.  Love to you all!
    Love and prayers, Deb

Great.  So we just need to hear from Lat56 and I think Margerie?  So far it sounds like a girls weekend in early November is a winner.

I know we were thinking of Disney but since is just a girls weekend, how about a cozy bed and breakfast?  One of my collegues owns this cozy Victorian bed and breakfast and I've been wanting to go for the longest time. Here is the link http://www.bundlingboard.com/index.htm  I can contact her for special rates on our girls weekend.  Maybe she can tailor a special weekend for us survivors.   Or, a Chocolate Slumber Party.  Let me know.

Deb - is this place close to where you live?  If so, maybe you can check it out for us and give your input.  Okay - I don't want to be too pushy so I'll wait to hear from you before I contact her.

    Love and hugs,

Hey, I would sit in the middle of a corn field if my sisters were there.

It is all about us, and not where we are for me. Just name the place and I'm there.

That also gives Anna enough time to heal too! Cool

I love b&b's.  Count me in- I guess we should pin down  a place and time.  The weekend of Nov. 1-2?  I can do IL or FL.  Or wherever (but the closer to CA the better :) )

    OMG-
Woodstock is only about 2 hours north of us.  It really is close, and it really is a quaint little place.  It is close to my old roomate's town (Fox River Grove), which is also a sweet little place.

That would be wonderful!  It looks great!

Also, one of my best friend's mom's opened a bed-n-breakfast in Portland, Oregon.  She is an AMAZING cook (she LOVES to feed people, too).

I have to find the link....brb......

    Ok, so there it is.

I am like ML-I will go anywhere, anytime.  I have been waiting to give you all hugs since the day I "met" you!!!!  I don't care where!

It can be a Red Roof Inn for all I care!

    YAY!  Love and prayers, Deb

Marg-I still want to order a t-shirt, but keep forgetting to get my credit card when I come to the spare room.  It's a whopping 6 steps away, but that is just soooo far........

(I'm lazy, and don't want to walk past Daniel's room when he is sleeping!).

    Hey sisters,

Do you think we can manually search out Kim's posts for Anthony?  I guess we weren't successful in getting him access to her posts otherwise (thru Melissa and Tammy CryFrown).  Melissa and Tammy, if you are reading, can you please please please help?

Maybe I can start a thread for us to cut and paste discussions that we know Kim contributed to?  What do you think?

    Love and prayers, Deb

Excellent idea Deb.  I don't understand why they are not able to give him access.  He just needs to give them KIM825 and ask that they reset the password.  They did it for me once before.  Do you want me to give it a try?

He can copy and paste her post. Just go to the top of the page (Search Community Knowledge Exchange) and type in Kim825. It will show her post.

I looked up mine, I started saving them, still not finished. Just in case they were lost.

Hello my sweet sisters, just checking in to say I am still mending and don't even have to take the pain meds any more! I went outdoors for a few steps yesterday and it was great! no chance of doing that today - sleet and rain all day they say.

It seems we are selling our house in France and buying another one! Yikes, that means a move. A move from a four-storey house we bought fully furnished with all sorts of stuff stored in places we haven't ever really looked at. My French friends have all said they will help, but can you imagine the triage that will have to happen? I can face going through our own stuff, but all the rest.....

So we are moving into a two-storey house with a full basement (whew!) that is right on the water like the other one, but in a less posh place, still just six miles from the other one. We'll have a sandy beach right down the path which will be nice for little grandchild #1. My daughter says she thinks it's either a soccer player or a little dancer from the amount of kicking that's going on. Poor daughter, she was out for a whole week with the flu and now thinks she has strep (again?) and a sinus infection. She so wants to be healthy!

I'll go check out the b&b. I do love b&bs but I agree, anywhere will be fine as long as you are all there. By then I plan to be one heckova "getting around" chick!

    Love to all,

    Anna

Forgot to say, the signing is scheduled for March 20 and we have to try to be out of one house and into the next within two months. We'll be paying daily rent, an astronomical sum, for the old house, so hubs will want to be out sooner rather than later.

Oh, Odalys, can you please try?  I did try a search for Kim825 and did find a good handful of posts, but you know how things were so messed up with the switchover in the fall....she has 800 or so posts to her name, but the search only gives 180 or so posts.

I just really want to help him-his idea on making a scrapbook about Kim is such a sweet and beautiful one.  I hope that if I die before Greg (I plan to live till I'm 100, of course), he will do something like that!

    Love and prayers, Deb

Nancy!!!!!!! It would be so great to hear from her!

Debbie, if you can help me figure out how to post a picture I would love to do that! I have tried so many times (under the previous board regime) and couldn't even get a picture of myself (with or without hair) on here.

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. Hubs is doing taxes, little dog is gnawing bone (fake bone, actually it's called a bully stick) and I'm reading a new book. I guess we'll be superbowling later on. Plan to go out for another (teeny tiny) walk before that.

    Love to all,

    Anna

Anna, I had such a hard time getting pics to post on these boards, too.  I have succeeded only through trial and error......

I think that I just ended up doing a copy and paste when I posted the family picture on here, because when you click that "insert image" icon on the top of the box here, it confuses the heck out of me.

ML and Odalys are good references on doing pictures successfully!  Photobucket is relatively easy to do, but there are a few extra steps......

How's everyone's "get skinny" endeavor going?  I keep having good and bad weeks.  With Daniel sick this week and driving  me insane, I have ended up with a bad week (eating those emotions again!!!).

    Nancy, where are you?

    Love and prayers, Deb

If you open a photo bucket account. Which is free, you can copy and paste from there. Copy the HTML code...

Then come back to BC.org and left  click onto the clip board icon that  has the T on it . Make sure you have the start of the line where you want it on your message. Maybe just practice with no words at first.

It will paste the picture. Also you can post different stuff like Happy Birthday etc. Just search at the top of the page for anything.

    Like B&B......Bed

Here is the link to photobucket.

http://photobucket.com click where it says's join .....then you can upload your own pictures.

Hi to you all! I changed my avatar again, I was tired of the same old one. This is an up to date picture and it is bigger than that other one.

I have a picture of Nancy somewhere and I can't for the life of me find it.

I wanted to add all of us onto my Myspace page. Anna, you need a Myspace now for that grand baby!!!!!! It is so easy to keep my mom up to date with pictures.

I bought 2 outfits yesterday  for our little lady :) I'm so glad to be getting a girl this time.

Went out with Sebastian and Jessie for lunch...had to get home to pick up Screamer from the vet.

    Screamer

We are cat poor...LOL But I love them all....

He was fighting to much and was getting on my nerves.

Anna I'm glad to hear you are doing well. Sounds like you have allot on your plate.....

Great that we heard from Nancy....I miss her. And Lat best be checking in soon! Wink

We may have to have a class on photo posting when we get together....who has a lap top? Surprised

It really is very easy once you know how to do it. It's just not easy to teach on the message boards.

Hugs to you all....I will return.

Gotta go watch Hi-5 with Daniel (he just got a new DVD).  I admit, I love the group, too.   I know the words to all their songs!!

    Nancy?!?!  Lat56?!?!  Where are you?!?!

I was thinking we should hunt down the women who used to post with us back in the beginning, and see if they still post, just not with us.

    Just curious!!

We tried to go to church tonight, but the fog was so thick we only made it a block!   We couldn't even find our driveway to turn into!
