    I posted last week about my menopausal symptoms I was experiencing which were probably made worse by the tomixifen.  I thought I was going crazy!!  I watched a talk show on tv and they were talking about women going through all this crap; hot flashes, dryness, mental fogginess, loss of libido, hair thinning (not from chemo) weight gain, the whole nine yards.  And they said you don't have to live that way.  Go to your dr and get your hormones and thyroid tested.  SO, that's exactly what I did.  And he took me off the tomaxifen!!!Smile  He said four years was enough for me.  He also took blood tests to check my hormone levels and thyroid.  I'll get the results next week.  I'm so happy I'm off the tomoxifen.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

    I understand why you wanted off, with the SE's but will you now go on an the other type for after your ovaries are no longer functioning?

    That seems pretty reasonable.

    You're past the two year mark, many cases of reoccurennce occur within that time period - and you're unhappy.

    Hi Mary - Congratulations...quite a milestone! Your prognosis is very good! I can't wait to KISS TAMOXIFEN GOODBYE! lol (I have three more years though  Cry .) Perhaps now you can regain alot of your "old" life! Be well...
