Good evening Circle girls.
I've been busy busy busy. Every year I start a folder to put all the stuff I will need come tax time and never use it. So today I've been sorting through stacks of stuff trying to get everything together. Do you really think we'll get a big ole tax rebate check like they are talking about in the mail? Wouldn't that be great. I have so many things I could use it for.
For some reason, I keep thinking today is Sunday and that tomorrow is a back to work day. Don't know why. Just one of those things I guess.
Angel -- I could swear I heard Liz say how much she loves snow and couldn't wait to get more! I'm just trying to help her out....I'm nice that way. LOL!
Well, off to watch Monk. I'll check back later.
-
Sad news, girls.
Please say a prayer for the family of Laura, CTG, who got her wings today.
Another sister lost to this terrible disease.
Laura was a beautiful and kind person.
This is a sad day.
Blessings to all.
Laura, rest in peace sweet sister, Warrior Angel.
Love,
g

MB -- I will keep your mother in my prayers.
-
Sad to hear of the passing of a much loved sister. CTG's family is in my thoughts and prayers.
MB: My thoughts are with you and your mom, hoping for strength for her. Hugs to you dear lady.
Jas: I've been out of the news loop of late ... what tax rebate check?ha, I bet Liz will appreciate how nice you are! Monk, what a character! I haven't been able to watch much since before Ava was born but used to enjoy it.
Going online shopping to find a gift for my sister who has been so helpful to me these last couple of weeks with Ava while I was on my lifting restriction.
May you all rest deeply and peacefully.
-
MB many prayers are for your mom. Tell her she has to continue this in order to meet us all in August!
Jas - you wave those arms towards Texas or Louisiana...... we're cold enough here now! LOL
Losing CTG (Laura) is sad. She was one of the most knowledgeable women I knew when it came to types of treatments. She was to young to have to experience this. She will be missed.
I finished another afghan tonight. I'm taking a day or two off to try to get this wrist right. I know the problems are because of me using it more than I should. Well heck - everyone has to use their wrist/thumb! I just happen to be using it much more. LOL
I'll get the latest afghan in the mail on Tuesday.
Everyone have a great night. It's cold and I'm headed to bed.
Hugs
Liz

Good Sunday morning, dear friends,
No time to read this morning. Going to my exercise class, then to CCD than Mass. I will read later, just wanted to wish you all a beautiful day, one filled with peace, happiness and love. Hugs to all of you.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie
oh...and I so hope the Giants win..sorry, if you want the "other" team...lol
-
MB sorry to read about your Mom, Big Hugs.
Gina thanks for letting us know about CTG. Bren also mentioned loosing a friend of the family.
To many lives lost - makes you realize just how precious life is and how fast it passes.
If we all read the title of this thread and look at the names listed, kind of sad to think that list still has many of the same ones in treatment. I think we can add Amy, Sloandeb, Fern, Gina, Shrink, Bev,Nicki for her test, Cheri for her surgery, and of course our Cy.
If there are other names that need to be added that I have missed, add them as we go along. That way, we can have the names in front of us and
it will be easier to lift them in our prayers.
Sincere thanks to those that have kept this thread moving -Gina saw a need to gather around and protect our sisters over a year ago - that sure hasn't changed with all the bad news the last few months. Gina you did good when you started this - must make you feel good to see it continue as it is.
List any names that should be added - it is a cold day and gonna be a cold night and we a big fire.
Heading to church - blessing of peace and joy on a cold winter's day to each of you.

good morning all,
So sorry to see all the sad news here this morning --will be keeping you all in my prayers. -
Good morning Circle ladies!
I know yesterday was filled with sadness as we lost a dear sister to this disease. I chatted with several who were distraught. I just want to say that CTG would want us to be strong and to fight on and not to give in to our fears. She was a brave lady who faced the challenge with courage and grace.
The family has requested donations to BCO in lieu of flowers. There is a post in the Chatroom Friends forum with instructions on just how to do that.
-
Good Morning Everyone
Liz: I'm thinking you might want to take more than a day or two off. I know you Love to make the hugaghans but the constant repetitive movement of your wrist when crocheting cannot help! Just be careful hon, I hate to see you make it worse!
BMD: You must be so proud of all the men in your life! What fun! GO CHARGERS!!!!
Candie: hahaha no need to apologize but GO PACKERS!!!! Brett Favre just amazes me!
Jasmine: Where are you girl? We need your uplifting morning post to brighten our moods as you do so well!
Well I must go fill my pill box. It's time to take my morning meds and I haven't done that yet. Still amazes me I even have such a thing at my age! Have a wonderful day all, be back later.
-
Good morning Barb
Jas, there you are. Nice post. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing CTG but I went back and read her posts and quickly saw what an amazing and truly loving woman she was.
-
Wild/Jan: Missing you. No morning pic today?
-
Good Morning Angel!
Have a good day, to all the circle Sisters

Brenda I am new. What do you mean about a list? Where can one add names of a loved one they are worried about? I have a few people I know who need alot of prayers and support.
-
Puppy: Good morning to you!
Bubbly1: Welcome to the Circle. Sorry to see you here but if you must be you'll find this to be the best place on the web for support and friendship. If you check out the Dreamers thread they keep a running list of those in need of prayer. That is also done in the Inspirations and Prayers thread. Of course women here are always offering prayers to those in need as well. When somebody is having a particularly hard time we put them in the center of the Circle.

Here is some info on the tax rebates they are talking about:
Economists said a reasonable range for tax cuts in the new package might be $500 to $1,000. A White House plan is looking at rebates of up to $800 for individuals and $1,600 for married couples.
Here is a link to an article about it:

MB, I hope your mom gets better soon. I remember when my brother was on dialysis, he used to get so cold from it. It is not an easy thing to go through.
Jasmine, thank you for bringing to attention CTG's family wishes that donations in her name be made to BCO.
BMD, Congrats on the Karate!!!!
Brenda, thank you for writing that. You read my mind. I am not able to come to as many threads any more and this thread, that has been so near and dear to me, was worrying me because of the drop off in posts. Now that I see so many posting again I am thrilled! Thanks to all who have pinch hitted for those of us who can't always be here because of chemo or other treatments. That is what the circle is all about, friends helping friends.
Bubblyi1, the list that Brenda was referring to is the first post that appeared here when I started this thread. Some girls had received some very bad news and were struggling and others were having a really hard time dealing with the fear and saddness that news brought. So the circle was started so there would be a place to go with all our fears and concerns and it grew and grew and we are the largest thread on this board. You can go to Welcome to the Wagon Circle up above and that explains it better. Welcome here. I hope you come back often. I try to come here every day, but some days I get overwhelmed and can't manage to post everywhere I want to because I am in treatment and working at the same time. It is ok if you can't keep up. Just start from where you are and write about whatever you want. It can be hard to keep up with everyone and that is ok, you can just write what ever you like.
Hello to the rest of the circle.
Cold as heck in NY today.
Gonna be even colder for the Giants game! They said at game time it will be 0 degrees!
Have a great day!

No pic today...I missed the opportunity to getting the pretty purple sunset with a ray of sunshine as big as the sun upwards into the clouds last night. Had to take care of the horses at that time. And missed the ring around the moon when I peeked outside last night...was spending time with DH plus its pretty darn cold out there!
-
WildJan -- I just got home with my new camera. Now I have to sit and read the manual. Office Depot had it on sale here so I took the sale ad to Best Buy like you did and got it from there for the better price.
-
Way to go ALWAYSHOPE, I take it they gave you the extra 10% off? I asked about that and the gal said no, then went and asked someone else and said no again. So I think they had people that didn't know their stuff that day. Anyway glad you got a great deal on it!
-
Office Depot had an ad for 15% off their regular price of $399, making it $339. I took the ad to Best Buy and that is what they sold it for...$339. But that was comparable to most of the prices I saw online.
-
Jas .. thanks for the tax article. I'll check it out when I'm not so tired. Karl just filed last night. Congrats on getting the new camera! I need a new one as Ava stuck her fingers in the lens part and somehow broke it about a week ago.
Wild/Jan .. at least you got to see the beautiful sunset and moon! Don't worry if you don't get a pic, just stop by and say hi! I got so used to seeing you every morning I worried. Love your "Good Morning Sisters!!!" every day!
-
Hi Girls,
It is cold on my end of the circle too.
MB-I am praying for your mom.
Gina-Good to see you.
BMD- Hi Brenda! You must be proud of all your men.
Madison-Wow Mardi Grau already??Sounds like fun.
I am so sorry to hear we lost another sister. Her family is in my prayers.
I am getting ready for my cruise next week. We leave on Sunday. I can't wait. Something positive to look forward to for a change.Hope everyone has a great week. I will stop in again.

ALWAYSHOPE, I went to Best Buy after talking to DH and they gave me my 10% I was supposed to get when I bought the camera! The employee was wrong about saying no to me about this. This is what I was talking about, its online at their website in the very last paragraph on this page http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12098&entryURLType=&categoryId=cat10011&type=page&entryURLID=&contentId=1118843518460
This is the paragraph and what it says
Does Best Buy match prices of Internet retailers?
If you made your purchase in a Best Buy store, and you find an Internet retailer with a local retail store honoring its own online prices, we'll match their price, plus 10% of the difference. Internet-only retailers are exempt from our price matching program, as well as Web-exclusive offers. Eligible items must be the same brand and model, and currently in stock at the competitor's store. For purchases made online at BestBuy.com, please refer to the Online Price Guarantee on BestBuy.com.The only reason I knew about this is xmas 06 an employee there gave us the 10% more off after I brought in the flyer and he checked online too at the comparable store when we bought our HDTV.

Bubbly1 - I just got home and saw your post and then saw that Gina had been here. I think she explained it much better than I could.
There have just been so many that we have lost or have gotten really bad news lately or are having test. We used to kind of keep track of that and
with the holidays and other things it just seemed to have gotten lost.
Charlene you are right, there is a list in the dreamers thread and I know we have the mets and inspiration threads too. I don't get everywhere now that I am back at work and up to my eyeballs in tax stuff - business and personal. I think there are many that we don't even know that are having test and in my chemo brain, I have trouble keeping up with lots of this stuff. I was just looking for a way that perhaps we could kind of keep track again.
It's fine if we don't - I've just been totally overwhelmed with all the loss and the news of mets lately. I told a sister the other day in an e-mail, I felt like I just wanted to sit down and scream there had been so much - what had changed in making strides against BC - early diagnosis that gives us better chances of survival?
Just feeling a bit overwhelmed today by news of Bren loosing a friend and then another sister here passing.
Life is fragile and it passes in front of us so quickly. We can be fine one day and the next day - well, we all know the rug has been pulled from underneath us. Just one of those days, I wonder who next?
Anyway, I wasn't trying to suggest a running list as the dreamers have but
bring to the center any that we knew that was having test or difficult times or surgery.
I would like to bring those I mentioned earlier: Cy, SloanDeb, Shrink, Fern, Bev, Gina, Amy, Nicki with her test, another sister that is no longer here was scheduled for surgery this month - my brain just died and can't remember who I am leaving out- and ask them to come gather round. It is cold and we'll get the fire going. Gonna have some hot chocolate too.
It is just something I needed to do to hopefully bring a little warmth to
some folks who could use it. Nothing more.
Have a good night, CG's. Brenda
