Carol, your girls are precious!  A beautiful family and a wonderful story.

Deb, what a great end of chemo party, a chocolate fountain, YUM!

If  your pictures come out too large, you can delete them (edit your post) and on the photobucket page hit 'edit' above each picture.  You can choose what size you want to insert from there.  Photobucket will save that size and will ask you if you want to change it..I don't think you can undo it once it happens.   The best size is the email or web page option.

This should help with the necessity of having to scroll ~~~~> over there.....

I wish I could take credit on figuring that out but let's just say it's a good thing I have teens in the house.  :-)

Newter, great picture, that wig looks so natural!  What a happy looking boy you've got.

Carol, hey chickadee, it's nice to see your familiar face.  Beautiful family and the pics with hair, buzzed and short are all very flattering.  Is it short now?

Deb Deb Deb, you rascal you!  I love seeing your photos.  Did I ever tell you you are one of the reasons I forgo'd wearing a wig?  I saw your pics and you looked so natural and accepting that I knew I could do it too.  Chocolate fountain at your last chemo, yummy.  I took all different flavors of cheesecake and partied down with my chemo crew!  I know they hated to see me go.  hee hee, that place will never be the same.

I love this thread.  It is so nice to see everyone.

Marsh-My hair is now down to my shoulders-a little longer than it looks in my avatar.

Also, no one, I mean no one, has ever seen any pics of me bald except for my husband.  I guess I finally don't really care who sees that picture now.  Ok, well, I do care a little but it is safe to post here since we have all been there!

Raye, Marsha, Laura, Terry, Thank you for the kind words.  The wig I am wearing was the very inexpensive wig I bought from an American Cancer Society catalog.  After buying 2 wigs each about $150-200 and not being very happy with them, I ordered this one and was extremely happy and it was only about $40.00.  Great deal, I highly recommend that catalog.

Carol,  not only do I not have a picture of myself bald, the only person to see me bald was my husband and ONLY because my sleep cap fell off while I was sleeping. (I slept in my wig at the beginning because I did not want my kids to see me looking so weird).   I had a really hard time looking at myself in the mirror during that dreadful time.  Now that I am happily with decent hair, I kind of wish I did have a picture.

The first picture I have is about 3 months post chemo and it is my son and me with identical haircuts.     The race was on to see who would have faster growing hair. I may post it soon.

Bay, that is a great idea.  I will try to find a good picture to take with my new camera.

    Newter,

I completely understand.  We have only 3 pics of me bald.  My husband took one a few minutes before the one I posted.  That was my first weekend without hair.  In the first pic I look angry.  Then he said, "If you are going to have a picture of yourself bald you should at least smile since you look so pretty when you smile."  I love my husband!!  So that one is the one I posted.  We have another one that is at the very end of chemo and I look like crap-I will not be posting that one!  I really did not want to take any but my husband said, "When this is all over you will want a picture of yourself."  He was right.  Have I mentioned I love him??

I had the same worries with my kids too.

Curlylocks-My dog is nine. We got her from the humane society when she was about 8 weeks. High energy but smart as a can be. She is much mellower these days and is still smart.

    Okay, here it goes:

Once upon a time there was a little girl (me, black and white pict.).  Than in 1995 Jade showed up (color picture).  Yeap, I know, some pictures we look like twins... but only in pictures!

Fast forward: beggining of 2003 I was engaged (check out that hair!):

Than on June 1, 2003, I took the plunge!

My lump made its grand appearance mid July 2003, and the following pict. was taken at the end of Aug. 2003, wherein I was already scheduled to go under the knife (but everyone kept saying it was nothing, I was too young, only 36!!!).

Okay, for everyone's surprise (not mine) it was cancer!  This was my ThanksGiving 2003:

This was my Christmas 2003.  My last chemo was on Dec. 26, 2003.

I did not do wigs; I did scarves and hats and later "au naturale"!

For my surprise, when my hair came back, I was FIFI, the French poodle!  I hated it! (This pict. was taken March/April 2004).

Fast forward again to Dec. 2007, (and after many hair dues and dont's) this was our Christmas picture:

And this is what I look like today, age 41 and some change, (well sort of... I just went short hair beggining of Dec. and have not stopped!):
