    Heyyyyyy Candie, 

        Sorry I didn't see this post, don't know how I missed it. I would love to get together again, last time was really nice with everyone. Feb. is going to be a tough month for me, I will be away from the 6th- the 8th, going to Naples Florida with hubby for a Promotion Dinner. Then again from the 22nd -26th with hubby again for his ACES program  to Costa Rica. Busy month but really looking forward to getting away. Oh yeah, closing on a new house at the end of the month, and trying to pack and sell my home, (open houses, brokers opens etc.)

        With all that being said, I would still love to see you, so if you guys pick a day around Valentines day (that week sometime) I wil be able to make it. I hope you are having a great new year, I really like the friendships we have here and would love to keep these get togethers going. Maybe some place with smaller portions this time  heheheeee (I'm still trying to drop the lbs.)

    Welcome Joni,

         Sorry that you had to come here, but glad you found these boards, they can really help on those tough days. You are always welcomed to any of the get togethers, we have only had two so far and both were great times. Do you live in NJ or close by??? We were from all over the state last time and met in Edison. Not sure where we'll meet this time , looking forward to hearing from everyone again.  Maybe we can have a weekend get together  down in AC over the summer , how's that sound guys ??????  Hugs KLynn

         Any time between the 10th and the 20th is good for me. What ever works for everyone, or March if that is good too, I'm easy (but don't tell !Heeehee)

        Hi bay, nice to meet you, don't think we have ever talked. I've never heard of the Melting Pot , where is that??? I'm always up for something new. Bay what area are you coming from?

    Hey Candie , P.S.---Did you see the post on Pinkstock in Aug. It's not too far for us, think about going. I'm going to try and get my hubby to take the RV up there this year, I missed it last year and was so sorry not to meet the other ladies. Take care. KLynn

    Hi Karen,

    No I haven't been in chat too much--my head wasn't up for that much confusion this past year! I'm in Ocean county. The melting pot is a fondue restaurant and they're in various locations--we've gone to one in red bank. It's good and fun but it can be pricey so may not be the right place.

    I wanted to go to pinkstock last year but I had a series of bad happenings and didn't.

        I'm also in Ocean county, but soon to be in Monmouth county even though its only 5 miles from my home now. Red Bank was a consideration last time, so maybe others will want to try it. Who doesn't like fondue???? Yummy. 

        I certainly understand your head not being into being in the chat and on the boards, sometimes its just better to step away for awhile, there are alot of hard things to handle here besides whats going on at home. I find myself missing these wonderful ladies though. Hope everything is better for you this new year. take care KLynn

    KLynn, thank you so much for the PM "heads-up!"  I would LOVE to meet you ladies!!

    I live in Bergen County wayyyyyyyyyyyyy up north in NJ (practically on the NY state border...real close to Manhattan).

    Edison/Woodbridge area is about 45 minutes from me...most definitely doable.

    the only thing I should have in Feb is my sister-in-law's birthday...  We most likely will have a family get together (we celebrate all birthday's even the adults) the weekend of Feb 16...but nothing is definite.

    I live in Rockland - right over the border of NJ, I was invited to the Dec. get together but couldn't make it.  Depending on location and date (going on vacation soon) I would love to meet up with this group.  Glad to hear that you are close too.   Take care

        Hey Val and Rebecca nice to see you both. Got your pm Val,& answered you. I agree Red Bank sounds good too, and Yes as long as the weather cooperates , I hate driving in the snow. I talked to Carol, she is healing, but very slowly. She needs to stay somewhat close to home, she can't drive too far yet, too uncomfortable with everything she went through.  Okay  any thoughts on a date????  How about Sat. Feb 10th ????     Virginia, I live in West Essex County...about 20 minutes from Manhattan.

    Klynn...Feb 10th not good for me. I will be in Cancun!!!

    I am not getting any responses from Patti..is she ok?

    I am planning to go to Pinkstock this year.

    Red Bank...well, I guess if I can drive to Edison , I could drive to Red Bank...lol..espcially cause you will all be on the receiving end.

    Desny- I live close to Rockland...  Where are you (if you don't mind me asking...)  I live in Dumont NJ---  I have family in Suffern, Monsey, and Blauvelt...and a dear aunt that lived in New City for many many years...

    Perhaps we can carpool if the lunch is in Red Bank?  Kind of a haul for us northern gals!  :)

    Hi Virginia,

    I live in Pearl River, NY.  It is just over the border from Montvale.  I know where Dumont is - I go to a Dr. on Quackenbush! 

    I don't know if they have finalized the date - I thought I heard Feb 10th, if that is so - I won't be able to make it.  I would have loved to car pool.  I will be on vacation until 2/20/.  But maybe you and I can meet for lunch or coffee.

    Dear OneBadBoob, I am sure you would be welcome to the lunch.  Where are you located, maybe you, Virginia and I would meet if we can't get the the other lunch.

    I had been thinking that we should have a get together in North Jersey, as we seem to be quite a few.  I am sure the southern and central girls wouldn't mind this time since we  have had one in Red Bank and one in Edison. What do you all think?

    I'm new to the boards but would like very much to meet some of the names I've seen posted here.  I don't drive anymore, so can't make Red Bank, but if anyone ever wants to get together in New York City after the NJ meet, let me know.  There are lots of nice restaurants in my area, also inexpensive, where we could meet.  Lots of trains and buses coming into the City (and leaving) throughout the day.  Have fun! 

    I used to work at Bell Labs in Red Bank area and there was a great restaurant in Rumson that we would go to, called the Fromagerie. Very close to Red Bank. Not sure if it's still there, but everything was good and  the desserts were great.

    Remember me? We spend half our time at our apt on 87th and Madison--I would be more than happy to leave from there, pick you up and drive you to the NJ meet if the dates all work out--and maybe pickup some clues on your mystery on the way!

    Desny- How funny!  I grew up in Park Ridge...used to bowl in Pearl River (now I bowl in Montvale).  Spent many a night at The Saloon and various other places on that main street in Pearl River...used to go to the movie theaters ALL the time in High School.

    We can definitely meet!!  I am up in your neck of the woods all the time as my dad and brothers still live in Park Ridge.  (I get my nails done at Liz Nails on Railroad Ave) next to the Montvale Jeweler...

    Oh, and Davey's Locker is my all time favorite pub/bar...

    This is going to sound crazy but the only date I have open before vacation is Thurs., Jan 24th., I have to attend a court hearing this week and may run into next.  Honestly, my life is not usually this complicated.  Let me know what you think.
