Great to see you too! I would love a MA/NH get-together. I don't think there are too many of us, so it shouldn't be too hard to organize. Lilia, what do you think?
Amy - so nice to see you my friend! I hope your good news around the holidays is continuing.
-
lilia,

Hot Damn, it's been a while~!~!~!
So glad to see you again~!~!~!
-
Heck, it took me a bit (obviously) to read this thread......what do I find when I finally get curious enough????
One of the first ladies I talked to a little over a year go is BACK!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back NBN!!!!!
-
Welcome Back Lilia! Joanie told me by email you were back and I was glad to hear it. I poked my head in yesterday to reply to a PBM thread. I will have to update Mena when I talk to her. She has moved too. Feels like old home week around here!
Hi to all of my old buddies, Colleen, Jule, Celia, Saluki (let's go get Starbucks sometime soon!), Marisa, and so many others.
I'll be around so hit me up with a PM if you want or I'll see you on MySpace maybe!
-
Hi Lilia Welcome back,
It is so good to see you posting! I am so glad I logged on and found your post along with all the familiar names who responded to you.
I have not posted in so long myself. I have missed everyone and have vowed to get back more. I have been away due to tough times going on in my life. My health is great, but I lost my beloved father to lung cancer in June. I was so close to him, saw him almost everyday and he was my rock throughout my bc journey and all the treatment. It has been so difficult, I miss him so much!
I have been logging on the last few days trying to catch up on how everyone is doing. I hope to get on here more. Such a great source of support and friendships.

Big hugs,
Doreen

Hi,
We really do not know each other but I believe you were the person that started the "Put a face to that name" thread that I loved and really miss now that I kind of know how to post pictures.
Glad you are back.
-
shel38: What's up Michelle?
spunkyjunk: Yes Randie, I did miss my friends. I hope you have a lot of fun here. My best to you.
JoyRebecca: You are very welcome. My best to you.
Angel42: This is a great site when we all "play nice". My best to you.
djd: So sorry to hear about the outcome of the Trial. Just think, what goes around comes around!
susanmcm: Sweet Susan: you are not more confused that I am right now b/c of not knowing what really is going on! When I left, I really left! How are you?
ShirleyHughes: Yes I am. But I needed to explode and move on to a healthier place. Now I am all good and back. How is everything with you?
lizws: Hi! How are you? Good to see you.
marshakb: Great to see that you did not change your Avatar picture! So many have changed and they are not animated anymore :-(!
kats: How is Alexa enjoying the scarf by NbN's Fashions, Inc.?! Hope she likes scarves! LOL
BethNY: Beautiful Beth: how are you? Love your new Avatar picture, you seem so serene. Have to find your phone number.
denisa: He-he... long time no "seeing you".
FitChik: Marin: thanks for giving me the final push. Now I just have some very serious catching up to do which I know I will not be able to do because I am not as "free" as before.
lexi4: Sweet Lexi: thanks for remembering my Jade. Hope life is treating you right.
Isabella4: Girl! How's the farm? How are you? Miss our talks.
bay1431: Is this "bayore" from NJ? Sorry if the "alias" changed I am at lost and my memory is still not the best for names!
AlwaysHope: Thanks J. Nice to be back.
KariLynn: My Xena: love receiving and looking forward to your updates. You know how much I love you, right? I wish I lived closer to you so I could go over to softly hug you.
junie: Thanks junie. It is nice to be back. Nice to see many of the "oldie" names but I am missing a lot more... where is everyone else?!?! dressmaker has dropped off this earth... I lost track how many times I tried to contact her! So dressmaker, if you are reading this, there are people looking for you since this past summer!!!!
Binney4: Thanks for the compliment. Hope all is well with you.
TenderIsOurMight: I am so sorry, but I do not know who you are since you talk like you know who I am; nevertheless, I hope to get to know you very soon. My best to you.
iodine: Dotti, my Pope girl! Did you frame the picture I took especially for you? And no bumpy rides, too busy! But I will try to keep up with the fun part!
Gus: Sue, you changed your avatar, didn't you? So glad to see that you also came back. You have to give me your daughter's e-mail so Jade and her may correspond and exchange opinions about how knifing 12 year old females can be in nowadays!
This past summer I went climbing Mount Mo... OMG! I am amazed how come I made it back down!
About a Get Together, NH/MA/CT would be wonderful. Denisa and Lorac put together 3 or 4 really good ones. May be we can come up w/ a destination which allows us all to travel an equally distance. Mary5, Saluki, Emelee26... would for sure join us. Let's see what happens.
cmb35: My sweet beautiful Colleen: I know exactly what you are talking about and applaud the fact that you were able to just walk away instead of exploding and storming out like I did. I still regret nothing. The drama and the "me/myself/ and I" syndrome is enough to turn anyone's stomach up side down. We just have to remind ourselves that this is just a good site to come to, and most of all, that the great majority of us do have a life! It is healthy to just move on! And there is life after BC.
Since I moved up here I have thought so much of you that I have to dig up your card and phone number to call you. You are near by Wrentham! Love going there. How is Warren? I have been to UMASS to see a basketball game since Jade plays that sport. Does your handsome son have an e-mail address?! LOL
lv2cmp: My lovely Amy: yes, it has been nice to keep in touch w/ some of you girls via private updates; great to see you. Any special trips planned for this upcoming Spring/Summer?
celiao00: Celia, my friend, how are you? Glad you found a place wherein you feel is a safe harbor. Keep up the good job.
Emelee26: Okay... who is spreading rumors already? LOL How is that tummy coming along? How is grandma to be? And yes, we should do lunch.
saluki: How are you Susie? How is your sister? Hope to see both of you at a future get together. My love to both of you.
evilelf: Vera: I see that you kept up the Humor page going. Good for you. So if you see any of your jokes repeated, sorry, no time to scroll through all and double check. How is your hubby?
jpann39: Thanks jpann39. Hope to be talking to you more now that I am back.
beth1225: Hey Beth: How are you? Yes, it is very nice to see many of the familiar faces we got used to. Tell Mena that I have on my night table the picture she took of Bill, Jade and I at the NJ get together, Jan. of 2007. Tell her I hope all is well with her as well as with you.
jackie11: Great to see you and am so, so sorry to hear about your dad. (((((((((HUGS))))))))) Please let me know if there is anything I can do to ease your pain. My love to you.
DoreenF: I am sticking around regardless what comes and goes, and me/myself/and I syndromes. I might just not be around as often as I was before because I am less available. In addition, one of these days I have to stop by your house and have you make me a delicious meal on your brand new kitchen. LOL
newter: you are right, we do not know each other that well but I would like the chance of getting to know you. I have no hidden agendas, what you see is what you get, plus more (LOL). Let's start a new thread for everyone to remember who is who and "to know each other". I guess you will have to be my side kick as I don't know how to post pictures on the new format that BC.Org has. I guess you will have to teach me or I will have to read the instructions.

Lilia:
Although we've kept in touch I'm so happy to see you back on the boards again. I really don't come here as much as I used to - but I am one of your 2003 sisters and still like to check in on all of my other sisters here too!!!
Yipeeee!!! Glad your back!!
Love and hugs,
Pat (pconn03)

Hi NbN, I'm new here but I'd like to welcome you back. It says alot about a person when they have so many friends saying how glad they are you're here. You must be a very special person.
-
Can I say DUHHHHHH? I didn't read this thread, then when the picture thread came up I thought someone was trying to do a NBN copy cat thread and it finally dawned on me once I clicked on your name!
I wasn't around when you left but Joan let me know what happened. I was off the board for awhile...it's good to see you back and posting and I am very happy to hear of your move and your new life! Awesome!
-
Lilia, Mena says to tell you hi. She asked for you to send her either an email or PM (or both) with your new snail mail addy and phone. I will tell her about the pic!
BTW, Joan has kept me abreast (can I say that?) of what I missed during my absence as well. She and her Woody are doing well it seems. She even sent ne a pic!
-
YIKES!!
Lilia! I'm crying here, because I KNOW I replied to this thread. But I cant find it.
Look, Dearest. They have made me totally senile with that Femara.
Anyway, I see you're making a "put a name to the face" thread.
You are so special!
We are SO lucky to have you back!!
Welcome Home, Lil!!
You were very missed and you are very loved.
j (mindless wonder)
-
OMG Naughty, yes we have missed your humor! "Me/Myself/and I Syndromes"! LOL Is still going strong. Just got to learn who to ignore!!
We did lose some great sisters to another little Breast cancer support board. Just glad we didn't lose you!
-
I also got a big laugh out of the me, myself and I syndrome.
Lilia-hopefully big trips will work out this year. Nothing like a nice vacation to get away from it all.
marhsa-great to see you missy!
Amy
-
WELCOME BACK LILIA!!!! That grapevine is growing wild these days. It's spread it's tendrils all the way to California. Count me in the somewhat wiser definately OLDER group. You've been missed.
-
Joan, whats up with the missing post thing? I haven't posted here since the big change hoopla. Front page says my post is here, but here it's not. How very odd.
As I was saying WELCOME BACK LILIA
-
OK now thats just weird. I swear these boards are possessed anymore.
And whats up with that dx? I didn't put that there.
-
NBN ... what a nice post to everyone. I love people who are truly "what you see is what you get". I was naive about that when I came here but it didn't take long for me to wise up. I look forward to getting to know you better.
Shirley ... That's in your profile somewhere and you have an option of making that public or not! You can change that if you want to!
-
Thanks for the tip Charlene. All fixed now.
-
Yup......the "Me/Myself/and I Syndrome" with a new thread and forum for each one too...... there is a lot to ignore these days!
Lilia, sooooo glad you are back!
-
I just signed on today. I first signed on in chat, however, I wasn't able to read and type fast enough. Since diagnosis I spent time at the Cleveland Clinic breast cancer website and time at Y-Me and other sites.
I saw this topic "hello to you and you and you" and thought maybe that meant me. Miss N - saw your opening post and thought it was just beautiful - I saw you were so welcomed and it made me feel so good that so many welcomed you.
As I read, I saw drama mentioned and then me/myself and I and am really confused. I haven't looked far and drama I don't understand but is it bad if I talk about myself? A new sthread and forum too???? Have I walked into a place that said "hello" to see more women that dislike other women and these are hidden jokes. I've seen it happen at the other places if one gets more popular, posts lots of stuff ask about or not .
I guess the "hello" and warm welcomes home only mean some understanding by some. I stumpled in and I'll just back on out - older or wiser or me myself and I - don't think I want to know. I don't think it makes those that post those things look very good - sounds to much like making fun or wanting to hurt people.
MissN - I still like what you wrote: A girlfriend is never far away------
When we started this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead; nor did we know how much we would need each other; everyday we need each other.
My world was and is turned inside out - we need each other. Don't look bad or say things that hurt. I'm backing on out now -
Leslie

Hi Luckyles, the above remarks were NOT about cliques in any way and since they were about posts a year or so ago, not many will even know or remember what they were about.
Please know that we welcome Oldbies on a regular basis who drop back in or who've taken time off from the boards, it's just a friendly kind of place and we are a sisterhood.
Maybe you have dear friends you don't see regularly or even very often, but when you do get together, it seems like you've not missed a beat---just like old times. Well, it's sorta like that.
You've just been here a short while, so there will be lots of things you won't understand at first, but we are so willing to help you, give us a chance, OK?
-
Hi Lucky Leslie,
Yes, it does seem that you stumbled onto a thread between old friends, but like Iodine said, please don't let that keep you away. There are so many lovely women here who would love to get to know you.
You might want to try one of the other forums or threads, such as the Wagon Circle thread. Lots of fun and support in those threads. Also, the newcomers with bc in the Newly Diagnosed threads always need our love and support.
Welcome to the bc.org boards. Hope to see you again,
Bren

Okay, have sometime to "sneak out from work". If I don't talk to you girls again, have a wonderful weekend.
pconn03: My sweet, sweet Pat (the one with the awesome return address labels): so good to hear from you during the holidays. Thanks so much for the beautiful card. Bill and Jade say THANK YOU.
It seems that a lot of us "...don't come here as much...". Let's hope as the year progresses that we can see back many of the "familiar faces" as well as meeting new ones.
linsaysitall: That is such a sweet compliment and good observation. THANKS. I hope you receive as much support as I did on my early "days", through all I went through, as well as having lots of fun too, here w/ all of us.
Paulette531: Paulette, my friend: how is life treating you? Please smack me if I am wrong but, how are the grandchildren? How are you?
I changed my avatar picture so there are no confusions about who NbN is... LOL (back to my almost original picture, the "crazy chicken"; by the way, kats did this one for me way back, "don't I look great?").
JoanofArdmore: Joan, what's up kid? Like Denisa, long time no speaking to you, LOL! And life goes on, right? Did you unpack all the boxes yet? LOL
marshakb: wanted to mention before, but forgot! I love your Avatar picture, it does not matter if it is before... or after, that is how I recognized you right away.
Breast cancer support groups spin-offs?!?!?! Just like a real soap-opera! Well, in the cyber world, there is infinite space for everyone one, but in our hearts, only a few good ones have space.
lv2cmp: Amy: glad to see I still can make you girls laugh w/ my wicked sense of humor. Like I said, that did not change in me, as of matter of fact, my humor "saved me from drowning" many, many times! Ah, vacation... did not have one last year... can't wait to break the bank and have lots of them this year... than again, may be not! Just a couple.
sherloc: Hey Shirley: good to see ya! I know what you are talking about the new format... when I finally opened the first page of BC.Org back in Dec. I said, what the heck! Like any "old fart", I don't like changes, but I guess we have to get used to them, right?
Angel42: Life is a lesson in progress. I am learning at every single second of the day.
Celia088: "Ignore", roger that!
LuckyLes: Leslie: UAU, you made your first comment here on my post! Of all there is in this site, I have to say, Thanks.
Your comment is somewhat confusing, than again, may be not! Nevertheless, Hello and Welcome to BC.Org. Hope to see you around for a long time. I would like to mention to you too the "face thread", come and met us... I have not compiled my pictures of choice yet, so as of right now you w/ not see me, or my family... but if you check under Get Togethers, I am there someplace. May your days here be happy and informative. My best to you.
iodine: drinks on you tonight?! Luv, yah!
BinVA: Looking forward to meet you. My best to you.
-
NBN you still got it,,dont ya? I knew I was missing something and now that you are back I see that it is your keen sense of humor and attention to detail.
I will be vacationing up towards your way but further into Maine. I'm sure I will be in CT some time this summer also no doubt.
Amy
-
I agree there are times that laughter is the best medicine at times. I couldn't imagine life without it!
Amy: Maine is such a beautiful state to visit!
