Tears of relief and thankfulness

So, i just received a call from my new GYN's office. My Pelvic US was NORMAL!! You, all my sisters and a few brothers, know how wonderful that word is! I'm crying tears of joy!
Background on this was 10 days before my bilateral mastectomy, my old(fired him) GYN called me and told me that he was pretty positive that I had Ovarian Cancer, too. I pulled over in a park and talked and cried to him for quite awhile and then I sat there as shock, depression, anger--- everything overwhelmed me and then I drove home and told my family(not my kids, though) I then had to find a gyn onc and go through further testing.
All that testing came up okay.
But I guess I never truly believed it..... so when my new gyn wanted to start off with a new US, I surprised myself by being so freaked out about it. I've been on pins and needles as I waited for the results.
Whheeewww! I guess I can let myself relax about this now.

Oh bay, that's awesome news! I had a similar scare after I finished treatment and went for my routine Pap smear. There was a mix-up and the nurse left me a message that I had been scheduled for tests that I knew indicated possible cervical cancer, the only cancer that I have a family history of and a predisposition towards. I felt as though I'd been punched in the stomach and called the doctor to rail into her about my having to find out that way. She was like "ooops, I guess the nurse misunderstood me....sorry!" She had been a new doctor....I never went back to her.
Time to celebrate your news, girl!
