Clinical trials with Yoga

Options

I am a year out of Stage one IDC and have osteopoenia.  I have read of a few states that have clinical trials of yoga for BC survivors.  I live in PA--anyone have any websites or sources for clinical trials in my state?

These supervised, instructor-led yoga sessions will take place at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle.

Participants will also be asked to practice on their own an additional four days per week, for a total of five days per week of yoga practice.

During the study, participants will have blood draws at two time points, and will be asked to complete questionnaires about their health and quality of life at three time points.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Not planning to move from the Seattle area in the next 16 months
Exclusions (conditions that would prevent a volunteer from participating in this study):

    • A regular practice of yoga in the past 6 months
    • A heart attack or stroke in the last 6 months
    • Current use of medications that would effect study outcomes
    • Pregnancy, or plans to become pregnant in the next 16 months

    I hope this helps.

I am not eligible because I have been doing Yoga for about a year.

Sounds like I would qualify --now if only I could find this in my own state.
