Pathology report (finally)

I finally got my pathology report after almost 3 weeks but to tell you the truth I wasn't really in any hurry...my family was. I guess I was just scared, but looks like a good report. MRI showed tumor at 8 cm it ended up being 2.1 cm. The rest was in situ. Thank God! 17 lymph nodes removed and no involvement. Thank God!!! Will see oncologist on Monday for my future treatment. So glad most is over, Still wondering about Chemo. I guess I will find out Monday. For now I am very happy. Pretty sad what I can get happy about...huh? I know you've been there too.

Kathleen, glad you had good news, those darn lobular tumors are strange ones, so happy for you that it turn out to be smaller than first thought. Yeah for no lymph involvement as well, good luck with your future appts. Carol

Good news! My ILC (2.7cm) was overstated on MRI, too (4.8 cm), with the rest being LCIS. Good news on the nodes, too.

My tumor was understated. The mri showed 2 small(1.5cm and 8mm) tumors. When I had my mastectomy, There was actually a 4x3x3cm tumor.Guess yoou can't really tell?!

Sadly, mine was understated....it was supposed to be .8cm and turned out to be 1.8....

I would get the oncotypeDX before I opted for chemo...just my 2cents.

So many new reports are saying chemo isn't for everyone.

I wish you much success and the easiest path available!!
