I have a question here.  A LONG time ago I stopped eating ham altogether.  What made me stop was that during Easter we had a ham and I had a bad cold.  I went to the Dr 3 or 4 days later and she asked if I had ham and yes I did.  My BP was high.

Im not a big fan of pork but am wondering about pork roast meat.  Their was a commercial years ago that called it, "the other white meat."

I usually eat more chicken, fish, and once in awhile ground sirloin if Im doing a recipe that calls for ground beef. I dont need meat everyday.  Of course now I have some turkey in the freezer, yum organic kind.

Just curious about it I guess, but not a fan of it.

labhusky...I don't eat pork either, or any meat for that matter, but I'll bet it's the cured pork that's responsible for raising your BP. It's so salty, you know? I have read that lean cuts of pork are just as nutritious as chicken and not harmful either.

As far as I'm concerned, just seeing a hunk of Wilbur's flesh on my plate would raise my BP so high I'd stroke out! Wink Just kidding....to each her own........
