OH NO!!!!!!!!!
I just heard on Fox News that people are really trying to be more healthy and are using organic milk. Well, guess what sistas! Seems with all the organic milk that's being bought that the companies who make it aren't able to grow enough feed for our cows. Guess where some of this may be coming from (or is coming from)! You got it! CHINA! Seems like we don't have enough soybeans and I don't know what else to feed our cows. And, as we know when it says organic it means no pesticides, hormones, etc. But how does CHINA grow their feed and who's gonna be checking it?
I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF THIS BULL$Hi+!

I hate that! Not that I drink milk (use rice milk if I have cereal), but I use organic half 'n half in my coffee. It's my one fat indulgence! What I want to know is why we rely so freakin' much on freakin' China?

I'm happy to say then, that I've just about given up on drinking milk. It just happened naturally. No one is checking anything in China. It's up to us to check their stuff coming in, and we don't have enough inspectors for that, so then it's up to the company who uses their stuff to check it, but will they? They need to make sales.
Wait a second, where does ice cream fit in this picture? I buy organic ice cream. For crying out loud.

I don't drink much milk either. However, I do once in a while eat ice cream and cottage cheese and cheese. So, Rosemary, I think we're screwed!
I doubt these companies will check out China's crap. Do we need to boycott "Organic" milk products?

Are we not supposed to be drinking regular milk?

I dont use milk either.Almond, rice, or grain milk for everything "milky"(It makes AWESOME hot chocolate!)
But Marin, and Shirley, remember the GLA conversation?Cows fed on grass make GLA-enriched milk?
Soybeans ,corn and other grains are not GOOD for cows! They are not meant to digest grain. It makes them sick, and this is where the antibiotics come in!So feeding cows soy, and making ORGANIC milk...(no chemicals)...isnt...kosher!
I KNOW at Whole Foods milk is sold which is from cows not grainfed.Brown Cow dairy is grass-grazed.And so is oodstock Waterbuffalo, for 2.
Cows in Vermont(B&J
) are fed silage during winter --hay.I would venture to guess even WF's own storebrand diary is not from grain-fed cows.
(This CAN be checked). And even if they ARE fed grains, it would NEVER be from China.!!
WF is the only store which NEVER sold garlic , or ginger from China.
I'm thinking every supermarket now puts out their own organic milk. They have gotten THAT far.
But I'd guess it is the cheaper supermarkets who would be as unfussy about their suppliers that would sell milk from cows fed on grains from China.
My supermarkets which arent WF now label point of origin on most produce .I guess competing w/WF, they have been forced to do this. And if people are really going to buy feed from China, well THAT will be found out and protested REAL soon.!
The contaminated China imports have had a BIG impact around here. And plus people know that milk isnt so great for us anyway.So--milk from China-fed cows?I dont think so!!
