OT-HUGE red bruise

I just work up and found a huge red bruise on my knee. I don't remember bumping my leg at all yesterday, but I did move an armoire. This bruise is about 2 inches in diameter and mostly red with some dark purple around the edges, and it itches. I'm getting ready to cry because I have absolutely no money right now. Is this a serious problem? I've never had anything like this before and I can't afford to see a doctor about this. Has anybody else ever had this?

    did you have chemo?  I bruise really easily now. I would not worry about it unless it swells or turns green.

    Seriously, shouldn't be a big deal.

    No, I don't think this has anything to do with my cancer, at least I hope not. I finished with treatment 3 years ago. I just talked to my mom and she sais it's probably because I hit an area where I have some spider veins and she told me to put some ice on it. Thanks for the reply... I've calmed down a bit now!
