Brothers and Sisters- tv show

I really enjoy this show. I sincerely HOPE that the Ken Olin character does NOT turn out to be Rebecca's biological father. I'm sure any fans of the show know that he's married in real life to Patricia Wettig and remember them from 30-something fame. I adore Sally Field in anything she does. The writing and acting on the show is phenomenal.

I agree, it is my all time favorite show.....DHW is right up there with it....
-
I'm also a fan and very much appreciate the acting, especially that of Sally Field and Rachel Griffiths (loved/hated her in Six Feet Under too!). And many of the issues and topics are treated in a mature, thoughtful manner (Justin's drug addiction and feelings about deployment, marital infidelity, loss of pregnancy, etc.) with just the right pinch of humor & silliness (that is one crazy family!). I found this listing of actors and thought it showed what an interesting mix of characters make up the cast:

So do you all think that Robert will ever become President? And what about Nora? I thought she was gonna hook-up long term with Chevy Chase, but alas, the weed was too mighty!

I enjoy that show, too. No way Robert will be pres. the chopper incident will do him in and he'll continue in the Senate, unless they need a sweeps story about him getting depressed or something.
I don't always enjoy Sally Field buy she pulls this one off--most of the time.
Calista hasn't been one of my faves either, but the rest of the cast is super.
Lots of story lines going, whew, you need a program.
-
Marin, I don't think Robert will become president, because in the last episode it appeared that the following morning the story about his service (which to me seems like a nonstory) was going to hit the papers and more importantly, Kitty's bribery.
What do you guys think about Rebecca-- is she going to turn out NOT to be a Walker? I predict a DNA test in the future.
-
Love the show.
I agree re Robert. No way he'll be president.
And Amy, I thought exactly the same thing as you with regard to the Ken Olin character and Rebecca. Yup, I think a DNA test is coming up. Now that she's been fully accepted into the family, talk about screwed up family dynamics if it turns out that she's not a Walker. And won't that do wonders for her mother's relationship with the family?!! But maybe it'll just be played for the drama and then in the end Rebecca will be proved to be a Walker. Who knows......
-
"But maybe it'll just be played for the drama and then in the end Rebecca will be proved to be a Walker. "
That's what I thought as well. I don't know why they didn't just do a DNA test to begin with-- I guess because nothing is easy for the Walkers.
-
And then if Rebecca isn't related, she can hook-up with Jason! Yessssss! I love them both! The actress who plays Rebecca played a character, Amy, on another show a few seasons ago. I really liked her in that too, but can't recall its name (Treat Williams played a widowed doctor with 2 children....it took place in some small town...?).

Everwood.
LOL. I didn't think of the Rebecca - Jason thing but you're absolutely right. There sure does seem to be something between them...
-
I like the show, but sometimes it can be a bit depressing.
-
Amy...couldn't agree more!! I love, love, love that show. I have missed the last 2 episodes. Did not realize Ken Olin was coming on the show. Yes..yes..I do remember them on the 30 something show.

Marin, I believe the show was called Everwood.
Lisa, you can watch at least the last episode here for free http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing -- I recommend it
.

Thanks Amy, I will do that tonight!
-
The show is contrite. If it weren't for Sally Field it would be down right ugh. Patricia Wetting is obnoxious.
