weight gain after herceptin treatments

    I would like to know if anyone has experienced weight gain after their herceptin treatments were over. I finished my treatments in July and was fine until after 3 weeks ago. All of the sudden I have put on 10 pds. and can't seem to stop it. My eating habits did not change. I try to exercise 3 times a week. I have had unusual swelling in my right calf and my Oncologist ordered a sonogram. Found nothing.

    Wanted to update anyone who has read my comment on the swelling in my leg. Went to general Physician. She ordered a cat-scan on my leg because of my history. I got the results today and they called it a fatty benign tumor. Sending me to a poditrist for it. Benign is a good thing!!!

    Benign is definitely a good thing!

    I can't say I've noticed weight gain since I started herceptin.  If anything, I've lost some of the weight I put on during chemo.  I do feel that my metabolism has slowed somewhat and I'm attributing it to chemopause and/or Tamoxifen ... otherwise, I have to chalk it up to old age!!
