-
French Polynesia.
We are beyond excited.
-
We took the motorhome to Doheny Beach! We had a blast!
-
Thanks! I really needed to see that! Loved the pics,
-
I love the beach! That is definitely something I miss about CA. Thanks for the pictures.
-
Glad you enjoyed them, Dotti!
Sheri, send me your email, I can email some more to you! -
We are going to Myrtle Beach in October. Had planned on going last year but had a mastectomy instead. Fun Fun! Anyway, we live in the foothills of the Somky Mountains so we go tubing or picnicing or whatever all summer long. Looking forward to the moonlit walks along the beach with my wonderfully amazing hubby though. Bonny

My DH, 9 year old DD and I went to Israel for two weeks earlier this month. DH and I had wanted to do something special for my big 50 last year, but good ole BC got in the way. so instead of a vaction, we spend 2006 having a mastectomy, chemo, rads, ooph. Israel was my dream vacation. we had an awesome time. I want to go back someday, but it will be a while. It had been 4 or 5 years since we took a vacation, so this trip was way overdue and it was fantastic. Took lots of pictures. Have them on a disk and now need to print off the pictures - some 500 of them!!! Happy travels to everyone. Karen in Denver
-
was supposed to go to jamaica to visit family, and connecticut for christmas. unfortunately plans are on hold untill radiation, mastectomy and reconstruction are over with.
-
Jamaica would be divine!! I'm doing cottage...easy food, easy drinks, water, sleeping late, doing nothing, board games, badminton, volleyball...competing with my teenagers!!!! Just living life!!
Whatever you do, make it the time you want it to be with the people you love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vacationed in Vegas & Mesquite this year. 3 weeks.
NEXT YEAR --- PARIS FRANCE!!!!!!!!!! -
My husband, son, his 2 teens (prior marraiage) are leaving for Italy in two days!! We planned this trip in Jan. This was b4 my BC dx (March '07) and bilat mast (April '07). We decided to keep the trip as planned. I am a bit nervous about 'holding up' with all the walking, standing in line, long flight (9hrs).
Heck, I am just happy to be able to go! As long as I can sit in some cafe, sip leomonade, and see their smiles, I'll be happy.

Oh - love the photos with the motorhome on the beach. The shot brings a sense of peace. The sound of the seagulls, waves slapping the shoreline.....
-
Hey Rocktobermom - I thought that was Doheny when I saw the picture. My husband took me to Doheny almost every weekend when I had chemo so I could sit in the sun while my son surfed. It kept me sane!!
-
gwenn,
If you've never been to Yosemite it's worth the price of admission believe me. In fact it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I've probably been back there at least 20-25 times since my first trip as a kid. Bears aren't a problem there although they are around. They have all dumpsters etc. secured to keep them out and away from the campgrounds.

Hey, I'm going to Europe..... Anybody want to help me figure out my trip... I'll be in Italy for eight days. Going by myself. Thanks, sherry.
-
I returned 3 hours ago from the Gulf beaches. Ah! the sun, the water, the shrimp! The wine, the long island tea! the shopping, the laughs, the outdoor concerts, the food, the laughs.
But I can hardly wait to sleep in MY bed!
-
Dotti, please post pics when you get a chance! I love the Gulf. It's so beautiful there. One time, I saw the sunrise over the ocean and then sun set over the Gulf ... all in one day, it was so awesome but man did I have to get up early (thank the hotel for wake up calls and room service!!)
LuAnn, did you ever go on your vacation??? Where did you go if you went?
-
Hey Angel - I was married in the historic chapel in Yosemite and had my reception and part of my honeymoon at the Ahwahnee. I always love to hear of someone who loves it as much as I do - I also have wonderful childhood memories. In fact - on of my memories is of a bear picking up our ice chest while we were in the tent and banging it on a tree until it opened. (It was the old, heavy metal type.) He took the bacon
!!
Now my goal is to somehow save up enough to go to the Bracebridge dinner on some Christmas Eve - I have heard it is wonderful!
-
We went to Catalina Island a few weeks ago. The weather was beautiful and we had a blast riding around the island in a golf cart and just walking everywhere!
-
Yosemite is magical.
-
We decided to go to Kona this year, just me and hubby so if all goes well, we should be going Nov. 1.

Thanks anyway, we returned end of Sept from Fla coast, I've already forgotten the name -- a bunch of them all close together, one of them was Watercolor beach. It was absolutely great! No crowds, perfect weather. Thanks for the thought tho!
-
Wow. . .We just got home a week ago from the most beautiful islands on earth.
We are going back.
