(((((CY))))) ... I think about you all the time. I am so so sorry for what you are going through and wish I could come and give you a big gentle hug. You are such a good friend and sister to all of us. I'm praying you get better. This is so unfair to you.
((((Sloanedeb)))) ... I hope you went to the doctor? I'm worried about you. Please don't wait until you can see your onc next week.
((((Gracie))))... I know things are so hard for you right now. I just want to give you a hug. It's hard to think about a year from now when you have to deal with the moment. But hold onto that year from now thought. Time flies and before you know it, it will be here.
Candie ... I hope the medicine you got helps. It's good you're getting the US of the Gallbladder though, just in case.
Mary ... Welcome to the Circle. I can tell how nervous you are but you don't need to be. I lurked a long time before joining and I was welcomed with such warmth. The support and love I found here was unmatched and it became my lifeline. I'm sure you'll find the same.
Thanks to all of you thinking and praying for my surgery and recovery. I'm managing pretty well. A little fuzzy and tired from the meds so I'm not posting much. Take care everyone. Hi to BooSue and everyone else.
Love and hugs,
Charlene

Thank you Deb for the prayer. CY, so glad you checked in. I so wish there was something I could do for you but just know that I am praying for you and hoping your port issue heals up soon so you can get back to the chemo.
Lisa, good suggestion on the gallbladder. My dad had his removed and he had some of the same symptoms.
Charlene, glad to hear from you, is Karl taking good care of you? He sure is a sweetie.
Nicki, can you get up at the butt crack of dawn so we hear from you more? Just kidding. Your posts always make me smile.
Margo yes you need to lose your costco card again cause from what I can see you are sooooooo beautiful. Who wants to be reminded of those hairless days? Oh BTW, can I slip into your luggage and go to Hawaii with you? I promise to be no trouble, I don't take up much room. You leave on Sunday?
Mary welcome to the circle.
Sheri, when does your show open? It must be soon right? Sounds like you are enjoying your teacher conference.
Hey Boo/Sue!! You must be keeping really busy and I am glad to hear that.
Hugs all around, Marsha
-
CY, thank you so much for posting and updating us. I wish I could do something to take your pain away. Hopefully, your port will heal and you can start your chemo again. Just like Deb said, remember our healing circle at Pinkstock. ((((CY))))

Good morning chicas and Peter........stopping by for a quickie.......yes Jas thank goodness it is Friday plus the bonus for us living in states were daylight saving times happens we get an extra hour of sleep this weekend or an extra hour on the computer depending on how you look at things......
..........((((CY)))) so sorry you are in such pain.......I think BooSue had good advice you need to get some hardcore pain medication.......praying that port heals so you can get back on the chemo...........Janny you never have had pinto beans????? Sweet little yankee girl.....honey you are missing out.......ever had refried beans? Those are usually pinto beans smashed up with chili powder and cumin and a few other spices........Sheri it sounds like you are really enjoying yourself.....please have a cup of hot chocolate for my youngest daughter....it is her favorite.........I know I have missed many....going to get some work done.......everyone have a safe and restful weekend.....may check in on the Vick and see how her doc appointment goes.........Love to all .........Shokk
-
Is that how they make refried beans???? For real? Learn something new everyday. I really thought they were fried.
-
((((Charlene))))) you sound better everyday........your main squeeze is a sweetie.........Marsha hope you are going to have a fun weekend......somehow if there is any fun going on in a hundred mile radius of you you will be in the center of it
........ok guys I'm really going to get some work done........see ya later gators........Shokk
-
Jas the real way to make refried beans is to smash them after they have cooked and them fry them in lard and I mean lard but most resturants that serve Tex Mex now just cook them and smash them (whip them like smash pototoes) and add the spices........if they do fry them usually they use vegetable oil.......but of course that costs them extra money...........anyway they are alot better for you if you leave out the frying part all together..........
-
Thanks Shokk. They sound healthier without the frying for sure.
-
Slonedeb--hope today you are eating more
Charlene--did I thank you for suggesting the Eucerin calming cream--has done wonders for the eczema!! Like a miracle.
I must read and I will post this weekend.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie
-
Candie .. Yes you did and I forgot to acknowledge it! I'm sooo glad the Eucerin calming cream worked for you. It's a bit pricey but when it works it's hard to put a price on that!
Marsha .. Karl is taking Excellent care of me. He really is a sweetheart!
Shokk .. thanks for the hugs sweetie. Yes, my main squeeze is the Best!
-
Shokk, it must be the thespian in me......... LOL This may be hard to believe but my weekend is wide open. Well, I'm working the concession stand at the theatre tonight and I guess it is possible for a last minute thing to come up but otherwise I'm resting up from Halloween. I don't have the stamina I use to!!
-
-
well i am back from my appointment no worse for wear LOL. Still feel like crap...back on antibiotics, pretty sure I have pneumonia again. Thinks maybe I didn't get it totally cleared up last time (even though I took the full 10 days of antibiotics), then I had the flu shot which lowered my resistance even more and whammo. No xrays or anything, just blood work that looked lousy...chemo really did a number on me I guess...anemic on top of everything else. guess i gotta get my act together and get healthy somehow.
gonna curl up on the comfy couch...pop some drugs...drink some tea and sleep the afternoon away.
BBL...love and hugs to all
Vickie
-
Gentle hugs Vickie. I'm glad you got some antibiotics and hope you feel better soon. Hot tea sounds like just the thing.

Good afternoon everyone!
It is finally Friday and the only thing that could make this day more beautiful would be if I didn't have to work tomorrow. I am glad to
see more people posting and confirming what this circle is about. When I was first diagnosed, I came here mainly to find information on breast cancer. I found the info complete and easy to understand.
I found the discussion boards quite by accident, but soon grew to be
a loyal reader and poster. At the urging of my several dear sisters,
I came to the circle. At first I couldn't keep up and felt a bit out of
sorts, but soon enough I was welcomed and tucked into the center
of the circle. This place has been comfort for me when I was in treatment, when I lost my mom, and the most horrible time of when I lost my son. I came here and could say whatever I wanted or needed to and no one scolded or judged. Sisters just joined hands and surrounded me with love and compassion. In April of this year, I had to have a couple of biopsies and fear reared its ugly head again. My sisters wrapped me in a hugaghan and got me through.
All families go through hard times. This place is no different. I don't know if you have experienced it, but my sister or my brother and I may disagree and even come to blows. I can call her every name in the book when I am hurt and angry. But no one else better try it, because after all, SHE IS MY SISTER. We are similar here, but we are human and we often forget we are all here for the same reason.
We hate the beast. We despise what is has done to us, to our lives and the lives of those we care about. We hate the fear or the sick feeling that comes to our stomachs when we hear of recurrences. But we still move forward. We tighten our grips and we lean on each other. I am so glad to have this place. I am so sorry that all of you have had to suffer and continue to suffer from breast cancer. But I am so honored to be here with you and for you.
Welcome to new names and faces. Stick with us. We are for real. Just in a rough place right now. We all have them in "real life," so why should we expect this to be any different?
Candie.. I felt like perhaps radiation had burned my esophagus at one point. I had finished chemo, but still had that awful burning, sick feeling. My onc. prescribed prevacid or prilosec or something like that and it made all the difference. I think a lot of times we don't realize our symptoms are treatment related and just don't ask.
I hope you feel better really soon.
Hugs to you, Brenda. Praying that your load is lightened as well.
Peter, so glad to see you posting again. Hope things "down under" are warming up for you since winter is over. Hope you are enjoying
long walks on the beach.
Marsha... had to laugh because I was just talking with someone else recently about an old Osmond song... "He Ain't Heavy....He's My Brother." When I was a child my mama always put Boys Town Stickers on our Christmas cards and all of them said that.
CY... I agree with the others.... immediately to the center of the
circle. We will all lift you up and comfort you through this. Saying a special prayer that God will ease your pain. Please continue to let us know how you are.
Sweet Sister Vickie..I think we may have to exorcise pneumonia demons from you. This is a definite warning to s l o w d o w n.
You are always doing so much for all of us and others as well. Not to mention your work. So rest this weekend my friend.
I have missed many.. but please know I love and care for you all. I have been frequently absent because my net is down at home and boss is too frequently in fly by mode in my office (been calling him Captain Crazy Duck).
Gina... thanks for beginning this home away from home.... See you all in the center.... Pam

A bit of humor
For Halloween my son and family dressed up as Scooby Doo characters..the funny thing was they dressed up my five month old granddaughter as Velma with a wig and everything..and my five year old grandson as Fred....
-
Very nice, Lisa! Were those pics taken with your new camera?
-
Yes, Jas..I am just testing my new camera out...guess it would help to read the book!!!
-
Cy we are all with you.
Pam good to see you.
Lisa, I love your pictures.
Jasmine, why are you flooding the boards with quotations that mean nothing to the topic at hand?
Charlene, I hope you are feeling better.
I know I missed many but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
g
-
CY, holding your hand. We are with you, surrounding you with love.

Good evening circle girls and Peter
Yeehaw! The weekend is finally here.
Lisa -- I think your camera takes great pictures. Of course, alot of it is the skill of the photographer too.
Vickie -- how are you feeling? I hope you enjoyed you afternoon snuggled on the sofa.
Sheri -- are you back from your conference yet? I know you had a great time. Its nice to be able to get away once in a while.

Cy,
Some friends told me you had posted and I saw you often read but just aren't up to posting a lot because of pressure and pain.
I came back especially to say "hello" to you and that I hope you can feel all the hugs, love, and prayers that are being sent your way. You are one special lady and we miss you so darn much. Your smile always comes through when we hear from you. Hope that old port site looks better today.
Tell Scott hello from all of us and thanks for taking such good care of you.
Big hug, Brenda
-
CY: I was just taking a walk around the perimiter of the circle. Saw a wonderful site. Many women, holding hands - encircling you and giving you a whole lot of love, strength, and comfort.
As far as pain management, you might want to consider a Duragesic Patch. When do you see your onc next?
Love ya
Nicki

Good Evening Jasmine, enjoying your quotes, have not been getting any sleep the last couple of nights, so have not been up to posting.
Vickie hope you are feeling better and resting up.
Janice and Pam thanks for your kind words, and good to see you both posting again.
Cy, Candie, SloneDeb hope you are all feeling better this evening.
Have a good night all, I hope to post later after I get some rest.
Peter
-
Ah gentle hugs, Peter. I was getting a bit worried about you. Too many people getting the creeping crud here. I just got my flu shot yesterday. Don't want any of that mess that's going around.
-
I thank you all for holding me up in my time of need.
I do crawl up in my chair and cuddle up with both the quilt and the afgan and I can feel you all with me.
Don't yell but I went back to work today. I figureded I could take pain meds there as well as I could at home. I have to pay the mtg somehow.
I did laydown during my luch time and that helped. I was going to take some more pain meds when I got home but Scott called he had been rearended again! 3rd time in a month! This time the gal did some damage. So we are going to have to get the van looked at to see what it's going to cost. From the sounds of it she totaled her car. At least Scott called the police this time.
Well I need to go lay down and take those meds. I was able to eat a bit tonight so that should help. I hate pain meds!
Going to go crawl in bed with the afgan and quilt and feel all your hugs and healing energy surround me.
Deb thanks for the prayer. I play the video of Pinkstock and all of you around me when ever I feel low and down from this. You are all with me!
Thank you allHugs & prayers
