What's your favorite horror flick?

In this halloween season I've been hearing names of suspense and horror films I realize I've never seen like Grudge and Cabin Fever and some strange Japanese ones. (when I say strange-I mean over the top)
Do you have any favorites worth renting?
Guess I'm stuck in a time warp because the ones I come up with are The Shining, Carrie, and Alien and Play Misty for me.

The Eye. (strange Japanese one.....scary.....)
The Changling. Oldie but goodie.
Saw. The first one. Awesome scary movie.
I know a bunch others but chemo brain is kicking in.

hi,
i like every saw.
i am a little old school. i love michael myers and jason.
don't know why just always watched them.
-
Wow, it took me well into adulthood to watch Psycho because everyone talked about how scary it was. And I've still never gotten up the guts to watch the Excorsist. I'm such a scaredy pants.
I guess I like to watch the spoof scary movies. I like Tremors with Kevin Bacon and like all the old dracula movies from the 50's and 60's.

When i was young i went to the movies with my cousin to see, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and I got scared out of my mind. It didn't even phase my cousin. I had nightmares for years afterwards and i still don't like opening up closet doors.

I love Hellraiser, Candyman, and Psycho my favorites

we just watched the messenger last week. It was spooky, kept my attention but I did have a nightmare that night

"Halloween" is my all time favorite. The series began when I was in junior high. Michael Meyers scared the sh*t out of me...

There are few things in this life and on this planet that I truly hate and horror movies are IT!!!!!!
I sit there and say" FOOL---don't open that damn door, you just KNOW that's a stupid idea, the creature is behind it and you're toast!!"
Then I have night mares. I didn't even see Psycho and had nightmares and trouble taking a shower when I lived alone.

All great movies mentioned above!! I LOVE horror movies, not so much slasher movies, but actually scary movies. A couple of REAL old ones are Carnival of Souls and Nosfaratu (sp ?), its the original dracula movie, no sound, black and white. Very creepy!!!

Who could forget The Exorcist, The Omen, and a later release The Devils Advocate, so many good ones. I agree Saw was great.
