Fumi - You have to make sure Donna eats something besides chili dogs while she's there!

I never knew they had pumpkins in Japan.

I just found this after posting on under the other topic.

The pictures are wonderful.  You both look like you are having fun and both beautiful, if I may say so.

The "cute" picture of the little statue was ME!  Surprised  I didn't know I was in Tokyo.  And the chili dog...yummm...that look so good.  That's why you see me so chubby in the "cute" picture.

    Looking forward to more pictures.

It is so cool to see you both in Japan!! I am so jealous Donna... that you've met Wonderful Zilla AND that you are brave enough to be on a flight that long. I am such a baby. I'm inspired to go see all of the places I only dream about (especially if there are chili dogs all over the world! lol)

    Thanks for sharing your pictures!!
    Love

We took a couple of pictures in a girly photo booth although it took quite a while before we figured out how to get us photographed. We even had to ask those young girls how we could get ours printed. But the results were good! Apparently it added some CG effects and we look at least 5 years younger than we really are. How could we not love it??? Tongue out

    Hugs,

    Fumi

Phew!  I just survived my first day without Fumi to guide me.  I took a day tour to Nikko Park followed by a Ninja show.  The journey back to Tokyo was quite an adventure -  the short version of the story is that at the end of the tour I realized I was on my own, 3 hours away from Tokyo, and unsure of how to get back to my hotel if I could even get back to Tokyo!)

Thankfully, the Japanese people are so incredibly friendly and happy to assist, so I made it!   Along the way, I experienced moments that will be happy memories forever.

I do have some more great pictures to share that I will upload after I soak my feet and take a hot bath Tongue out

Okay - pictures from today have been uploaded to the site Fumi mentioned!

As for some of the questions posted:

Yes, puppy, I ate the hotdog and it was delicious!

Rose,  good luck getting me to eat anything else.  Tonight I had pizza!  I am a really boring eater and would happily eat macaroni and cheese everyday!

Shirley - that wasn't you in that picture!  Trust me!

Lini - we did see some cats, but I didn't have a chance to take their picture.  On the other hand, dogs are EVERYWHERE!  The Japanese are even more doting on their pooches than most of the US, I think!

Had my warm bath, now it's time to pass out!

OH MY GOODNESS!   What a couple of beautiful gals, both inside and outside!  You two look fabulous.

I am so happy that all went well, that is a long flight, and Fumi and Donna are sharing so much, what a wonderful, wonderful treat!

God bless you both, hugs, Shirlann

I'm so happy for both of you, getting to share some face to face time.

I visited Japan more than 20 years ago, but I still cherish my memories. Will you be eating any Japanese food while you're there?

Thanks for sharing your photos. Keep them coming!

Another exhausted end to another gorgeous day.  I found my second wind this morning and went on the Mt. Fuji tour and will be posting some beautiful pictures (including a sunset!) later.

I technically ate a Japanese meal today - but it was vegetarian, so some might argue that I wussed out.  They would be correct!

Tomorrow, I am going to do my sight-seeing without a guide.  I'm feeling quite lucky!

Heck no you didn't wuss.  I don't eat raw fish either.  Eating Japanese doesn't mean you have to eat raw fish.  :)

It IS supposed to be Autumn but isn't as cool as usual. The heat sure has gone now but it doesn't mean you can survive a day in a shirt only.

Oh by the way, I have never had raw fish either. Just because I am a Japanese doesn't mean I love it. Although I am a big Tofu eater. Tongue out

    Hugs,

    Fumi

Fumi & Donna, I'm so happy for you both! Y'all are both beautiful!!!  Donna, I told Fumi in another post that I wish I could have stowed away in your suitcase.  The pictures are wonderful.  Keep 'em coming! Btw, how long is your stay?  Fumi, I hope it's been a great break for you from your busy work schedule.   Maybe next time, you can come to the states.  I guess though that you'd have to stay for months in order to see all of your friends here.

    Love you,

    Wendy

    WARNING!!!!!!!!

Donna, be careful what you eat.  You too, Fumi.  Read below.  Tongue out

And, Donna, when you go back to Texas watch out for those Mexican Restaurants.

    Mexican Restaurant

A cowboy stopped at a restaurant in Mexico .  While  sipping his tequila, he noticed a scrumptious looking platter being served  at the next table.

Not only did it look good, the smell was  wonderful.  He asked the waiter, "What is that you just  served?"

The waiter replied, "Ah Senior, you have excellent taste!   Those are bull's testicles from the bull fight this morning.  A  delicacy!"

The cowboy said, "What the heck, I'm on vacation!  Bring  me an order!"

The waiter replied, "I am so very sorry senor. There is only one  serving per day because there is only one bull fight each  morning.

If  you come early tomorrow and place your order, we will be sure to save you  this delicacy!"

The next morning, the cowboy placed  his order, and was served the one  and only special delicacy of the day.

After a few bites he called to the waiter and said, "These are delicious, but  they are much, much smaller  than the ones I saw you serve  yesterday!"

The waiter shrugged his shoulders and replied, "Senior,  sometimes the bull wins
