Chemo Curl Video-Bad Taste?
http://www.3goodexcuses.com/2006/04/chemo_curl.html
I came across this web site when I was researching chemo curls. This video was dedicated in memory of someone. I could not had watched this video last year......but today with my own chemo hair I found myself laughing. So....I really think this humor could be offensive to many sisters here, but I will leave it up to you on whether or not you choose to view. I was not given the choice.....because the video just started once I was on the web site. I stayed because I wondered what they would be saying about chemo curl.....did not realize until I was further into the video....that this could hurt some of us.

Well Thanks for sharing but....
I am a naturally curly girl. had the longest curls of my life before I lost them to chemo.
Like India Irie, I know, " I Am Not My Hair"
So chemo was long ago enough for it to all grow back in long curly locks, as before. Losing my hair was not a big deal to me, I was ready for a change. Although Rumoret, I think your avatar is so great and I love your style... some would not not find this video funny. I laughed at some of it, being a naturally curly girl. Some are devastated by the loss and unruly re-growth. Aaargggghhh!
You look awesome and I hope you keep your curls, if you want them. I just hade my curls cut off to about 6 mos post chemo length, because I realized I look better with short hair.
I know it's the humor forum, if we can't laugh at ourselves, what else is there to do?

ChristineK...........I also had long hair about to my breasts before dx with BC. In my teenage years I wore it straight and down to my butt. So this experience of having short curly hair is kind of fun. I looked at it as my chance to experience all the different hair lengths that I would not have had the courage to do before. Now I tell all of my long hair sisters (I have 5 of them) how great short hair has been. My hair is getting longer and is still staying curly. I am going to keep the curls and embrace my new style. I will make a decision later on what length I like best......and will never have to be afraid of suprer short hair again. So...thanks for sharing your story.......I am sure there are more of us out there who feel just like us.
Love,

I should check my spelling better before posting.......LOL
