Me, too!!!! I will be planted in front of my TV at 8 p.m.!!!
-
That will be me.
-
Me too. Thank you for the reminder.
-
Count me in! Even before I see any of them I'm rooting for the lunchlady.
-
Me too! I love Jeff Probst!
-
I've been a Survivor fan since Season 1. My daughter came home from college today to watch the premier with me. It looks like it will be an interesting season. There are already some stand out characters
-
Oh man, I liked Chicken. Sad to see him go.
-
Ok, I already am annoyed with one of the people. I forget her name, but she's the blonde girl who was whining about doing the welcome ceramony. Then she later said that she was in her own hell and was talking crap about her tribemates, because she's from New York and is so different from them, blah, blah, blah. Idiot. She's so closed-minded and thinks she's better than everyone.
Anyone hear about a "kidnapping twist"? I heard or read that mentioned somewhere, but don't know anything about it.
-
Chicken got voted off??? I have DISH and we had a bad storm last night right in the middle of the show! Dang. I agree tho about the annoying NYer girl. Wonder if she wants cheese with that whine?? You would think she would be more open minded! I kinda liked the gravedigger guy. LOL
-
I am with you Marsha, I like James, the grave digger from LA. He said he thought he would have problems with the social aspects of the show, but so far so good. I knew Chicken would go - he was asked for his opinion and he wouldn't give it. He wasn't much of a team player. Yes, the blond from NY is annoying. What makes her so special?
-
CBS will have the shows online after each week if you miss an episode or part of one and want to rewatch them.
-
Sandy - I am with you - that anorexic looking blond waitress from New York ("people in NYC don't act like this"), ugh. So disrepecful when she was in the Buddist temple.
Yes, I thought Chicken was funny. Especially in the end when he got kicked off - had some funny comment, which of course, I cannot remember.
So far, I like the grave digger, the flight attendant, the quiet southern girl and the surfing instructor.

Count me in as a fan. I have never missed an episode. That is so bad. I think Chicken thought he was better than all those youngins. He would have irritated me with his attitude.
I was glad they did not spend a lot of time on the NYer girl later in the show. She will need to go soon.
I like the grave digger. Someone like him needs to win this show. The tall silent type.
Whats with the wrestler chick? How does she keep those boobs in that shirt? It will be interesting to watch her mud wrestle next week. I think my dh will want to watch that one.
-
I didn't care for Chicken, but I'm sorry they voted him out so soon. I think he would have been a unique addition to the drama. So far, both my daughter and I are fans of James, the quiet grave digger and Todd, the gay Mormon flight attendant. This also seems to a particularly young cast. Chicken was the oldest at 47. Denise, the school lunch lady is the oldest woman at 40.
I think this will be an interesting season. -
Count me in ladies, dh and I have watched every season since the 1st. Chicken bragged how experienced he is, then decided not to bother giving his opinion on anything.
-
I thought it was pretty stupid how the women dressed going to a survival in the woods game. Heels, dresses, plunging necklines? I laughed out loud. They never saw one episode of this show before getting dressed for this adventure?
-
Rosemary - I'm thinking that the producers asked them to dress this way. No way would anyone with even a little bit of common sense dress like that for travel. I loved the green dress!! I would have been cringing if I had worn that and had to ruin it in the woods. I wouldn't doubt if their clothes were even purchased by the show.
Did you notice that the high-heeled ladies were wearing sneakers even before it was mentioned at the first competition?
Love the gravedigger. My favorite so far. NY girl, too whiny. Reminds me of some of my DD spoiled, entitled g-friends.
-
Lini,
That would be pretty nasty of the show to set them up that way. But the girl with the boots? She had them in her suitcase to wear? Hmmm, I don't know, but I'm leaning towards no common sense.
-
Anyone who is a fan of the show or a contestant should know to be prepared on how one is dressed.
It was the religious radio personality that had an issue with the Buddist temple. Which I found rude. Respect for other religions is important. When others don't, it really bothers me. Okay off that soap box.
The blonde from NYC? Oy!
Love James the grave digger.
Chicken? He really did himself in. At first he was trying to help, then he went into his cave. DOH! I thought he acted like an ass.
The chick with the boots/lip piercing? She will be interesting
I like the one gal complaining on day 3 how hard it was. Did she forget she signed up for Survivor not Big Brother?
-
I had to watch the show twice last night to figure out why they would vote the girl out? I'm happy that one of them is gone, I dislike listening to people argue for half a show, but why not the guy? Was it because he works harder? He sure was a dissappointment to them otherwise. It made no sense to me.
He knew he wasn't going to be voted out, so probably a lot more happened that we know nothing about.
-
" It was the religious radio personality that had an issue with the Buddist temple. Which I found rude. Respect for other religions is important. When others don't, it really bothers me. Okay off that soap box".
There is a difference between having respect for other religions and being asked to violate one of the beliefs of your own. The Christian faith teaches that we are not to bow down to graven images. I feel like the producers actually set this up on purpose. I have to wonder if the survivor had been a muslim and refused to participate if they would also get the criticism. I don't believe they would. Just like on Big Brother, the more controversy the better the ratings so the producers of that show also create conflicts.
-
I agree with you Rosemary - one of the two had to go and he blew the challenge, so why did they keep him? I am still a fan of James, the grave digger, so I am happy that his team keeps winning the challenges.
-
I like James too. He is quiet and very strong. I hope he goes far.
Here we are again, I know they like to try new places, and I love the scenery in China, but the mud is really hard.
Like in Africa, a very good idea, but not too amenable to living in the dirt.
They will probably end up on an island again, can't beat clean sand.
Hugs, Shirlann -
They are all going to get some kind of rotten feet thing if they keep walking around in that mud. I think the guy should have gone last night too. He is a condescending jerk if you ask me. The way they edit these shows could make anyone look that way though. The challenges seem to be getting a lot more painful.
-
I just finished watching the second show tonight and I am very happy with who was voted off. I figured they'd vote the weakest off the team, Courtney?, but was surprised by them going after the other gal. I think they would be doing her a favor if she gets voted off soon. She's way too weak and anorexic for this show. I'd hate to see her lose any more weight.
-
Once again, Rosemary, I agree with you. I am worried about Courtney - she is so thin, if she doesn't eat, she will be in big trouble. I agree with who they voted off, Lesley just seemed too uncomfortable there. I lost a little respect for James this week - I would hate to see him join up with Jon Robert. I don't care for him at all. We'll see what happens.
-
Anne,
If the stronger players don't realize it yet, they have to be in alliance with others very quickly. They are wearing the biggest target on their backs. The weaker players should be all about making alliances with each other to get them off. They aren't really showing them making alliances yet as they did in past shows. James just might have to hook up with Jon Robert just to survive.
-
Voting for Leslie was a strategic move for the future. The tribe felt she would naturally align with the Christians on the other team once they merge. That would make the Christians 4 strong after the merge. Since the merge is not likely to happen for awhile I think they jumped the gun on their choice. Cortney being the weakest should have gone home. Although my vote probably would have gone to Jon Robert because he is so annoying.

Yeah, Dave is gone
