Note to self - if you want to scare the h-e double hockey sticks out of yourself, check your symptoms on webmd or google them. If you want to remain sane - stay away from them!!!!!!!!!!
-
Jill, you are so funny!
I was on Webmd all day yesterday, apparently I'm smack in the middle of CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE...lol. Thankfully my brother is a Cardiologist....he set me straight. I felt like a fool!!
What eles is new......lol
Take care,
Julie

omg-- web md, should be illegal...lol
I have so many friends and family that think they are dying b/c of web md...
-
I"m with you!

Jill -
I am laughing because I went to the Dr the other day and told him these are my symptoms and according to WebMD this is my diagnosis. He just laughed and told me that I needed to stay off there!
Knowledge can be power , but at times it can be dangerous!

Yes, Dr. Google or WebMD is not the best for a second opinion.
Been guilty of this myself!!

i scare myself all the time.
i am trying not to laugh. i thought iwas the only one.
i try to stay off it.
-
WebMd is crazy no doubt about it.
-
Well, I'm glad to announce I don't do such things. I don't check with Dr. Google or WebMd. Of course I'm known to tell a "story" (LIE) every now and then.

Per WebMd's instructions my Iron Lung will be arriving Monday.
-
So glad I'm alone in doing this!!!! Even after knowing I shouldn't go to Webmd I still want to. What's wrong with me???? Oh wait I'll go to Webmd and find out!!!!!

What!? You don't have a Merck Manual beside your chair to use at will?
-
Iodine..good to see you!!
I am on my third edition of the Merck Manual..
My best friend!!
-
me too...Merck Manual, Home edition, paperback with spine cracked in many places, right next to my chair.
-
layne--i don't have the official Physician's Desk Reference, but i do have several thick books made for the layman on medications. I have to buy meds books often to include new medications.
-
For all the medical junkies out there--the Merck Manual (not PDR) is online at:
-
Ok that link is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT good for me!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Every time I consult The Merck Manual I scare myself. Not a good thing for me.
Jan
-
Jill, have they given you your results of your PET yet? I looked for an update...but can't find one.
Take care,
Bugs
-
My PET was clear of cancer BUT (isn't there always one!) they found a dilated blood vessel going into my heart. could be nothing, could be something. I have a CT scan tomorrow to see.
