Is anyone experiencing lower blood pressure while in chemo treatment?  I have been fighting elevated blood pressure since the birth of my youngest 4 years ago.  I have been working since her birth to lower it with a low-fat diet and exercise.  NOW my blood pressure today was 112/64.

Anybody?

    Hi Skippy -

I never had high blood pressure ... my blood pressure was fine, unremarkable until chemo ... It was always low when on chemo!  It's been 11 mos since chemo and it's still low.

Also, my wbc is on the very low end of normal too.  (I had to give myself Neupogen injections the entire time I was on chemo).

Sounds like a good thing for you ... although a helluva way to get to low blood pressure!

HollyHopes - That's what my blood pressure use to be for the past 4 years.  Now it's 110+/60-75.

CalGal - Maybe there's hope!  Last month my onc wanted me to go see the internal med doctor for high blood pressure medication, but I didn't want to since I was already becoming highly toxic because of chemo!  But for some reason it has come down quite a bit.  I don't want to take high blood pressure medication!
