Hi Peggy,
Yes you do have a chance of it not coming back !!!!!! I am triple negative, stage 3a, 1yr and 3 months since diagnoses and NED. I can try to help with any questions. There are many great ladies here that will come along and help.
Hugs

Peggy,
Heck yes this thing can go away forever! I was dx in May 2005, IDC, stage 2 with one bastard positive node. Had chemo, rads and have been living fat and sassy since! And plan to for a long time!
It's very scary at the beginning and it's easy to 'go down that road' of doomsday. My advice is live like it ain't coming back.
Hugs to ya!

Hi Peggy - I'm still early on in this journey having just finished rads a few weeks ago. I am hoping and praying for no recurrence for all of us. Glad to meet you, but sorry you had to find us....
Hugs.

There is always a chance that it can come back, but you can make the most of life. Don't dwell on what might never happen.
I was dx triple neg with 6 pos nodes 10 yrs ago and dx with a new primary tumor 7/06 with 29+ node also triple neg. Am making the most of life and plan to be around for my grandchildren.

I'm trip neg too and just finished with A/C x 4. My onco says I should do very well. Stage I, no nodes. I HAVE to be there for both my kids. I have a good feeling I'll see at least five years...my husband says more...

I'm sorry you guys have to be here but i'm glad to hear the inspiration you guys have to share. I'm 29 and was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer Oct. 27 of last year. I have a 3yr old son and I am fighting to be around for him for as long as possible. I try not to think about the fact I have BC but sometimes you sit back and that's all you can think about.

Hi Peggy,
I had triple neg breast cancer. I had one positive lymph node. My tumor was 3.9c, stage IIb, grade 3. I am three years out from treatment. I am doing very well. If I can answer any questions I would be glad to. One of the thoughts I held on to was that even though a triple negative cancer is agressive, it responds well to chemotherapy, even better than less agressive tumors.
Where are you at in your treatment?
Warmly,
Sadie-Rose

I too think about how effective chemo is on this type of cancer. I just finished A/C x 4 on Sept 10. I was a T1 (1.7), N0, grade III/III with associated DCIS, clear margins, double masectomy. I have also heard that the risk of recurrance goes down exponentially after two years out for triple negs...! So glad to hear from you! Any words of advice for us newbies?

Hi Peggy, I meant to say hello to you.
