Hi Everyone,

I am from Nova Scotia.

In 2002 i has a 2cm ductal/lobular,1 node micro,er/pr++++,stage 2, grade 1,4 chemo,mastectomy.

In 2004 i had a preventative mastectomy.

My 5 years on tamoxifen is up in 4 DAYS....YEAH!!!!then  one month rest, then 5 yrs  (see how i do) on femara.

2005 lymphedema in my arm and hand which is hard to deal with.

No coverage for lymphedema garments so i am trying to get the Nova Scotia government to cover them.

Just want to say hi to all.....jinky

    HI Jinky

    I am a long way from you in Alberta, Canada. Maybe check out the Canadian Cancer Society and the health regions or the like. I am able to get some assistance from them for some items - they have some good supportive programs at the Cancer Society too... that will help you find ways to get funding, even if you don't have extra insurance.

    I am recently diagnosed this past July with IDC 3.5cm tumor, 12/14 nodes positive plus 3 sentinal nodes positive. Right Mastectomy, chemo upcoming followed by radiation. I am triple negative so therefore, cannot do the hormone therapy. I am waiting on a bone scan result for final staging.(III or IV)

    Greetings from Bonnie Scotland!

    I am a Canadian who moved to the UK more than 20 years ago. Just over 3 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, PR+ ER + invasive ductal node neg grade 1/2. I had a wide local exision and selective sentinel node removal. I underwent epirubicin chemo, followed by radio and finished off with CMF chemo. I have been taking Tamoxifen for over 2 years now. I had an elective complete hysterectomy (because of hormone status and risk of developing endometrial cancer from tamoxifen). Just went for my annual mammogram and am now waiting for results. An anxious time of year wondering if it is all about to kick off again! I am made of tough stuff though...must be my Canadian roots! I would like to wish everyone well! Take care! Lambchop (like the puppet!lol)
