Can someone tell me how to post a picture (not an avatar).  I would love to post my girls' back to school pic but have never actually posted a picture within a message.

Here's the tutorial for how to get the picture posted on the forum.

By the way, I don't have any kids. Can I share the one that was taken when I was a highschooler? Hee hee. Tongue out

    (I am on the left.)

Janis, I believe that they are working on to get us a flashing envelope for PM's. In the meanwhile, you can receive a notification of new PM's via email. Click on "My Home" link up above the screen, go to "My Preferences" section and check "Send me an email notification when I receive a Private Message" option. Before using this option, you better make sure you have registered the email address that you check on the regular basis.

    Hugs,

I dont have little ones starting school anymore, but do have grandkids so thought we might also as some of the cute things they say as they are going off on their first day?

My little squeeze man (squeeze=hugs, as he's too old for those anymore) is 4 this year and going off to start pre-school...

My daughter invited me to join them for his enrollment meeting and as we were leaving he and I were walking down the hall holding hands (why he still thinks this is ok when the hugs arent I havent figured out yet) he is rattling on, extremely excited about all the things he is going to learn and do in school....suddenly he stops walking so I squat down to see why......

He pulls himself up as tall as he can and says:

"Grandma, I will be SOOOOOOOO good in school"..I say "Yes, I know you will"...he says: "Grandma, they have ALOT of corners here!!!"....

I laughed so hard I almost fell over right there in the hall!!!!!...this little guy is one of the best kids I have ever seen, rarely gets in trouble, but when he does his mom has figured out he really hates sitting in the corner...Ive never seen a little one dislike it as much as he does....two minutes in the corner and he's as good as gold for months!!!!!

I dont think there will be any problems at school with him.....especially since they have "so many corners"....

Hoping all is well and school is going smoothly for everyone...

    Hugs, Jule

Very funny, Jule, but watch out when he starts to enjoy corners!

So my daughter is 23 and just started grad scholl....I'll see if I can get a pic (I'm not too hopeful)! The thrilling part about her starting school, for me, is that she has returned to my part of NC and I now see her alot. This is after 5 years of rare, occasional visits. I love it and I think she does too!

This is not a "back to school" photo because, being the bad mom that I am, I did not take one.  This is a "breakfast at Cracker Barrel this morning" picture.

Will have to remember to rescan that photo so the green lint is not on my nose!

Do me and dd look alike or what?  My parents say it, I kinda saw it but these school pics make me really see it.

You two look like twins.  I do not think my kids look like me or my husband. I have never seen any resemblence.  Not that I think I am great looking or anything like that, but it would be pretty cool to see us when I look at my kids, maybe a little surreal.

Grace, I remember my dad telling my ex, "You had nothing to do with this baby, she is my daughter's clone."

My dad loves looking at her, he is always saying how she looks exactly like me except her hair. She is a much better person than I am though....I see her kindness even when others have been mean to her and when others have been hurt.

OH my Rocktobermom, She looks so much like you, except for the lint.  LOL

I have a 5th grade picture that looks a lot like my mom's 5th grade. All but the hair color.

Love the red. My boys are slightly red.  RED HEADS RULE!!
