L'Shana Tovah to all.  May the beginning of the New Year be a sweet one for all of us, one of peace and health, here and elsewhere.

May the new year bring a year of joy, health and happiness. La Shana Tovah!

Since I am still in treatment, I decided not to fast this Yom Kippur. Does anyone else have to make the same descion? It makes me sad.

According to the Rabbi, if you are on medication or sick, you are not supposed to fast.  Just like visiting someone who is sick while it is Shabbat is OK.  I always understood that the elderly, pregnant and sick are encouraged to eat rather than fast, on Yom Kippur as well as the other fasting holidays.

This time next year, you will be through chemo and on to a new and better self.  Hag Sameach and A bi Gizunt.

L'Shana Tovah to all.  I haven't fasted since my diagnosis 3 years ago.  I just don't feel it is healthy for my body.  I eat simple, healthy meals (no junk food/sugar/treats), and drink water and herb tea.

May the New Year bring you health and contentment.

I am still on Herceptin so I will not be fasting.  Also on Tamox. and then eventually and AI.  I think my fasting days are over.
