TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Cy, you found your way in. Goody.
-
Angel, I would have cried real tears if my wine had spilled.
I agree, protected spieces my behind.
Madison, thats who the bat guy was. Had all intentions of hiring him.
So for now I am going to let hubby gloat for at least the evening. And then be done with it. I'm sure it will be my kid that will be climbing up there come november. Hubby still isn't capable of it even if he is right.
CY, dang girl, if it aint one thing it's another. Enough already. Gentle hugs just for you.
-
G'day CY, Brenda and Shirley
To post pics you need to insert the "direct link code" from photobucket....
Peter

Ok, better but I hate this having to sign in every single time - even when you click "remember me"
Sherloc we have bats too and now I remember (dead brain cells) that hubby said he was told they are protected and we would have to put up a "bat house". We put screen over the top of the chimney this year and I don't have all that noise and mess now. Since you can't do anything to Nov - that bat house sounds awfully good to get them out of your house.
Nicki, you made it back and all is normal with your avatar and name.
Yes, thank heaven for Jas!!!
You know how I have complained about the heat, well we came to the NC mountains and it was 96 at home, we are now at 67 here and I had to close windows, I actually got cold. You can tell that fall is in the air - well, at least here. I'm so darn sleepy and it isn't even 8:30 yet. Am I not the party girl???
Anyone heard from Amy?
Brenda

Good evening CG's,
happy to see that some of the changes have been made. The font is big enough for us middle agers to read and I am happy to have pages back. I read most of the posts today, but did not take notes, so I won't be able to address everyone.
Cy - sorry that you are having a tough time. Hugs.
Angel - did karl get you another bottle of wine. Hope the mess wasn't too bad to clean up.
Nicki - horray for you taking a day for yourself.
Vickie - I see my onc the same day as you. I'm not nervous yet, but I know I will be by then. I go after work so I will have work to distract me. Craig always comes to the onc with me. He usually doesn't come to any of the other follow up appt as they are generally boring. But no way am I going to the onc by myself - afraid I won't remember everything he says. Try and relax and have a good weekend.
Alwayshope - thanks for the link - I am going to check it out shortly.
Cheri - I love good news. So happy your leg is healing.
Shirley - ugh - bats a protected species- thats fine in the wild, but not when they are in your house. Can they trap them and set them free? and what they want to charge you - that is highway robbery.
My brain is fried. I am having trouble remembering who else posted. I know I saw Marsha, Brenda, Amy, Peter and Denise, but without notes, I don't remember. Wishing everyone a good night and happy Saturday. Sweet dreams and feel good. Hugs from Denver, Karen
-
Evening Brenda
Sorry about the big change in climate, must be hard going from very hot conditions to much cooler weather.
Keep wrapped up and stay warm
Peter

Hello friends,
Wow, what a difference a day makes. I was starting to think we would loose our group. For a free web site they sure listen to their users...impressive. I can't get that kind of service at work- and we pay their salary.
What is this I hear about bats being protected...yuck! I'm sure you can find cheap labor that will take care of those discusting creaters (sp?).
Okay, did I read there is a party at Gina's site? Going to check it out. BBL
-
...hello all...am I here?...very confused with all of this...and looking for Mon Cheri...Puppy says Hi...xo

Goodnight everyone - rest well.

Nite Liz

Hi everyone. Still getting used to this. I guess if Mena posted 15 minutes ago, she must still be home. <<<waving hi>>>
Spoke to Puppy this afternoon and she and Ed are taking Rocky home and he is having back surgery. She is sounding like her old self.
OK, I need a shower and have to deal with this horrid skin flap. I will try to keep up with this new style on the boards but I like not having to try and focus my bifocals in the right place! Guess I have to reload my pic. Maybe it is time for a new one with my current hair color, LOL. Have a good night everyone.
Love and hugs, Beth
-
Hey Peter - yes, Gina is having a party. All party animals are welcome.
Charlene - love, love your new avatar- she is beautiful.
Good night Liz and Nicki.
-
Evening Peter!! See you made it back and there was improvement.
Ok, I'm slow and I'll admit that but do we have a way of coming to the circle without bringing up the first page every time and then having to click on the last page shown?
I don't know if it is the color of the background or what but when I come and read, it truly seems to bother my eyes. Has anyone else noticed this.
It has been a hard week and have had coughing, congestion, etc., all week, just not feeling top notch. Hubby has already fallen asleep and think I may not be far behind.
I was hoping to see a post about Amy - maybe I can check back later, if not, everyone rest well.
Hugs, Brenda
-
Brenda - no, the first post appears on every page. Several members requested it that way.
-
EVERYONE is welcome!!!!!
We need a normal place to hang until BCO gets their ya yas out.
Please come by and say hey.
-
hi all,
shirley i read the latest on the bat story at the other site. i'm so sorry. can the dr. give you anything to help??
i think i am back to susanmcm
-
Odalys, Gina's post shows but then the first ones after that - Rhymee and Fancy, etc., - can we not get by that and get to the last page? Gina's original post is always there, I'm ok with that. I hate not being able to click on the page, like we did before, and get to where we had stopped reading. Oh, heck, this sounds about as clear as mud!!!
Brenda
-
I know what you mean Brenda. It's a little annoying. Maybe they will make that change later. I also wish the signature would come up automatically, hate clicking the box every time.
-
Sorry Brenda I do not think there is a way to do it at the moment
Peter

Karen highway robbery indeed. Can't trap them cause the babies have no where to go. They are all nice and cozy up there and that is where they will stay till their little wings start to work.
Brenda, I'm thanking my stars we can't hear the darn things. But the smell is horrid.
Odalys, I live in California in major big time Tree Hugger country. Not a chance of finding someone to rid me of them.
Mena, hi right back to puppy, and to you as well.
Susan, breathing doc ordered CT and another type of scan, have that on monday and see onc on friday. I've already been infected and (so says breathing doc) the infection is healed. I have an inhaler. I'll just use it as I need it I guess. In reality I've been dealing with this since April. I guess I can deal for another couple of months.
Charlene, very gentle hugs for you my dear. Sweet dreams
Heading to bed. Love and hugs to all. See you tomorrow. Hoping there are more improvements??? by morning.

Any sisters using firefox as a browser, to copy and paste :-

2. when ready to paste in your post, hold down the "control" and "v" keys at the same time on your keyboard

Good morning happy campers! Its a sunshine day here. We've had almost a whole week of rain and everything is back to green. You don't realize how much you miss that color when its all brown.
Has anyone noticed that this 'add a comment' tool tries to auto indent the first line of every paragraph? That's a bit annoying for me as I like the 'block' letter style. But I really love this large font for editing.
Peter -- your welcome. Gina is a generous lady to provide such a cool place for everyone to hang.
Shirley -- I don't know about what that guy told you about no respirators keeping out the bat poop. I googled online and one of the health departments of some state (had a 'crs' moment) recommends a respirator and wetting down the droppings before removal to keep the dust down. You don't want your hubby or son getting sick too.
Nicki -- all I can do is offer you big hugs. Just know that most of us at one time or another has had the job experience you are going through. I've had some boss doosies in my time too. I'm fortunate that when I was diagnosed, I had a great boss and group leader. Then when I went out for surgery, the company had a layoff/reorg and I came back to a boss who was a true 'jerk' in every sense of the word. I finally got out from under him a few months ago. Hang in there...we love you.
Has anyone heard from Amy?
Well, going to run for a bit. Hugs to everyone A - Z.
